Title: Threshold hooks?
Post by: charlest on October 03, 2006, 11:39:24 AM
HOlY CWAP! Yes, by gum, it makes a freaking left turn on ICE!

damn, what do I do with it now?
(Yeah, I know: sand it to 2000  grit and add polish ...)

I just decided to change the cover on mine tonight. I applied Tracks Clean N Smooth to the cover. It is suppose to finish at 1500 grit smooth. Hope to throw it tomorrow or thursday and see the difference.

I tried it in a house I do not bowl in but in which I have tons of trouble: it's a skid 45 feet and make a left turn NOW, CLYDE, kind of PBA pattern.
Johnny Petraglia (Yes, THE JP.) is averaging 240; my driller is averaging 223. Everyone else (including many 220+ avg bowlers) are averaging 200 or less. I get tons of backend from my Slay/R, but control of the pocket seems to be at a premium.

What layout did you choose for yours?

Fairly strong.
4" (pin) x 4" (MB) x 2.5" (pin above midline).

See?!  I wasn't lying!

This past weekend I was throwing it during the first four games.  36 ft PBA pattern, shot is on the gutter.  The scorers were showing my ball speed at under 14 mph.  13.2 - 13.8 mph, haha!

I was like, that ain't right!  The speed was taken right in front of the pins, so the ball was really slowing down.  My Zr40 was clocked in the high 16 mph.  My spare ball was over 18.

The Threshold just starts to grip the moment it hits the lanes.

Tony,

I wasn't joking when I said I had 45 feet of skid then left turn NOW, CLYDE!
