There is details on the ebonite site to find pap but generic way that works is too place white tape about  4 inches or so right of ring finger and keep moving it up or down until tape stays stable when ball is rolling down the lane. Then you can measure over and up or down from centerline of grip it works or just have a pro shop guy help you out it should take a shot or two to mark it from oil rings. The proshop method is more detailed but the generic way gets it done by yourself in a couple of shots also.

To find your PAP, take a clean, dry low flaring ball (plastic is ideal) and throw a shot, preferably in the middle of the lane where the highest concentration of oil is.  When it comes back, trace the oil line closest to your thumb and finger holes with a grease pencil.  Put the ball in an ashtray with the line parallel to the table and your thumb and finger holes above the line.  The very top of the ball should be your PAP.  Put a 1" piece of tape (contrasting color) there.  Throw the ball again.  If the tape stays stable the first 15-20’ of the lane, you've found it.  It might take a little tweaking to get it just right.  The measurement of the PAP is taken from your grip center.  Measure straight over from your grip center to the spot just above/below the tape, then measure up or down again to the center of the tape.  A typical measurement is 5” over, 1" up.
