Too many options

My local pro shop guy has just brought in a bunch of balls used this past year by Ricky Ward.  In among the 20 or so balls are a Thing Returns, Vendetta PP, Vendetta Black, Crisis, and Barrage.  I can pick up either of the Vendettas redrilled for $75.  So I guess I am in the market!  But I can't decide which one I really want.  I currently throw a Mutant, Element, and a 40-year-old white dot (just call me sentimental) for my spare ball.  My house offers a typical shot: synthetic lanes, medium oil, walled shot, decent back ends most of the time.  I'm kind of leaning toward a ball with more length.  I've read so many good things about the Vendetta line.  should I go that way or with one of the others?

I'd try the Vendetta Black if I were you. It is probably the most basic and utilitarian ball in their line-up. Its cover is very adjustable and the core is the same core used throughout the Vendetta line. From your house description, it seems almost the ideal ball. It should fit in right under the Element unless you have some special drilling and/or cover preparation on the Element.

With a Mutant and an Element, you have the medium-to-heavy range covered, so I'd go with a light oil ball, like the Thing Returns (skid/snap) or the Crisis (arc).  The TR will give you a "look" you don't currently have.

If you've got your heart set on a Vendetta, I'd go with the VPP.
