which color do you fancy?
« on: October 07, 2003, 03:22:13 AM »
When this new low rg high diff ball comes out,
which color would you like it to be?

As I posted in the other topic, I'd like it to
be solid purple - same shade of purple used in
the Thing returns.

NL, I thought your comment was rather strong.

However, I have to disagree. To the better bowlers-minority
of all bowlers, color doesn't matter. To most of the people
out there, IT DOES.

I wonder how many people would agree with this:
If the Thing and the Thing Returns were sold at the same price
as the Vendetta solid and Vendetta Particle, ignoring their
actual function on the lane and what the bowler needs; although
there are people out there who prefer plain color balls, I guess
most people would choose, what in general, is/are considered to
be the 'prettier' looking ones.

Just like watching pretty girls and cute looking boys on TV or
magazines...........

So, COLOR DOES MATTER!!! NOT A WASTE OF BANDWIDTH!!!

i have never seen it done, how bout an Orange and red swirl ball.. I mean make the orange bright and the red a deep rep color.. like the trauma recovery ( was that the burgandy/gray/blue?) i think it would look cool and be a lil different from whats out there.. i like the blue green idea aswell.. would look cool

I say make two: one blue, the other blue green glow in the dark for the girls.

For bowling balls, color is more than just an image.  Color is added to a ball by using pigments.  Some color pigments will change the reaction of the ball.

However, on a purely aesthetic level, I'm partial to metalics like copper or pewter.

Personally the ball can be any color as long as it helps put some green in my pocket.
