Apologies to newguy about the ZR40
« on: February 06, 2006, 12:07:08 PM »
I've been going (more than) a little stir-crazy while recuperating from a relatively minor surgery for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Turns out I accidentally sprained the same wrist just before I had the stitches removed. So I can't yet do the therapy exercises that would hasten my recovery. This is only the 3rd week that I can't bowl and I thought I'd be able to start throwing a game or two of practice sometime this week. Ain't gonna happen, though. So my temper's a little bit short and all bad things seem exaggerated all out of proportion.

In any case, I kind of "bit his head off" about issuing too many new balls when I haven't been buying too many of D/T's. Sorry, Phil. I think there's just so many good balls out there, I kind of hate not being able to test them all.

I already got a new High Energy over Christmas/New Years and just drilled it. Can't throw it yet. Since the ZR40 has been documented by so many new users here to be a real control ball, today I just ordered one of them also. So this means I won't be polishing the HE, as I had planned. Should be an interesting comparison test, when I finally get to them.

Yeah, don't try to rush recovery.  Don't worry, you'll be back on the lanes shootin' the lights out in no time.

hope your recovery is speedy, know what you are going through, it does become rather irritating when you can not compete and enjoy the game. Chin up my friend, in time it will pass. I put my "down time" to good use for getting caught up on all the new releases and any other bowling news.

i really feel you pain, i'm slowly recovering from 2 years of wrist problems. My tournament life is gone, and on a brighter note, i shot over 250 for the first time since well basicly before the injury then other day so learn from me. get it taken care of, follow doctors orders and be patient
