Hey Ebonite fans.... The name of this ball certainly speaks for itself. I have used this ball primarily on medium patterns when out on tour and it has not failed.

I currently have two of these, one drilled pin above my ring finger and one below my ring finger of which they compliment each other nicely.

My pin down is the one I have thrown the most since I like to keep my angles pretty closed down - this ball allows my to play straighter up the lane and gives me a smooth midlane arc motion.  Whenever that tends to go away I can then open up my angles with the pin up Phenom and not have to change anything too drastically.

If you are looking for a strong ball that's predictable, this one woul dbe a great asset to your arsenal!

Layout:
5 x 4  PIN over bridge. No extra hole.
BOX Specs: 2-3" pin, 2.75oz

Review:
This layout and upgraded cover provides a stronger move than all the Gamebreaker2's I've ever thrown. This ball is my favorite right now. The move off the breakpoint is the most responsive I've seen in this line. I've used this ball mainly on medium to slightly heavy patterns. If you have an adequate amount of rotation, you can certainly use this on heavier. I've had huge success on the Kegel Broadway pattern. In a six game block I managed 246, 300, 245, 300, 245, and 300 changing pairs after each game. It was an unreal day for me but it's that good. This is yet another fantastic piece here. If you're looking for a ball to provide consistency and the power the GB2 core is known for, this is it.

You won’t find a better bargain in this price point anywhere else in the industry.

While the GB2 is an excellent ball for straighter angles and fresher patterns, the GB2 Phenom has the capability to handle more volume of oil and extreme angles without sacrificing the overall control we’ve come love from the GB2 line, resulting in a more versatile piece.

I have drilled two of these, one I prefer to keep at box finish, and one I prefer to keep polished.  The layouts are similar and both provide unique transitions between the Asymmetric oil monsters and the cleaner pearlized balls that provide length on broken-down patterns.  Control and continuation is what I’m looking for when I throw the Phenom, and it never disappoints.  Whether on a sport compliant condition, or the recreational league pattern, the Gamebreaker 2 Phenom is always in play as a result of the versatility and predictability that it possesses.
