Ebonite carries on the success and value of the Game Breaker line of mid-performance bowling balls with the Game Breaker Asym. Ebonite made a big change to this ball by creating an asymmetric version of the V2 core which is wrapped with the famous GB 12.0 Pearl coverstock. This ball is ideal for medium oil and offers length with a strong backend.

Likes: Ebonite has just released the newest addition to the GB line with the Game Breaker Asym. It has many of of the characteristics to the GB Pearl but they did a little modification to the core giving it a little asymmetry. I happen to have a lot of Asymmetric Pearls right now, so I drilled this a little different with a 4-1/2" pin under the ring finger. It is extremely clean & smooth. I do like the shape and and the way it pushes through the pins. Very nice add especially for league.

I drilled my GB Asym 45 x 4-1/2 x 30
The GB Asym for me gives me a bit more length and a stronger motion than the previously released GB4 from Ebonite. I can use this ball when my GB4 is burning up and starts hooking too much during transition. I am able to move in (left handed) and open up the lane a bit more than the GB4. This GB Asym gives me more length and a stronger backend motion than the GB4. Great for medium oil patterns.

COMMENTS
The Gamebreaker Asym is a strong asymmetrical pearl in the Gamebreaker line. The GB asym is very clean through the fronts while maintaining a strong angular backend motion at the end of the lane. This ball will be a great ball when the fronts start to hook on tough sport shots and you need a strong ball that you know will still finish on the backend.

Likes:The gamebreaker asym is clean through the front part of the lane with a very strong and continuous reaction on the back end. Works best on Medium oiled conditions, house or sport patterns. It is versatile going up the boards or swinging the lane.
Dislikes:Hooked to early on dry lanes.

Review:
Ebonite’s Gamebreaker Asym is a significant evolution in the GameBreaker line. The core designers at Ebonite set out to provide a slightly different shape within the GameBreaker line. By slicing off the sides of the V2 core, they were able to create a core that provided a medium degree of asymmetry (.008). This new design provides the ability to fine tune the ball reaction when drilling by controlling the placement of the mass bias but still maintains a low enough level of intermediate differential to not lose the downlane continuation that the GameBreaker series has produced for the last decade.
The pearlized GB 12.0 cover provides a cleaner and sharper downlane ball motion compared to the GB4, which provides a natural complement as the GB4 starts to labor downlane during transition. When thrown against the GB4 the GameBreaker Asym was about 3-4 feet cleaner and about 3 & 2 weaker. This ball really begins to shine when you are looking to open your angles on medium oil or as the lanes are transitioning and still need the ball to read the midlane and roll through the back part of the lane.
Summary:
The GameBreaker Asym adds a new element to the extremely successful GameBreaker line. The new modified V2 core provides bowlers with the opportunity to fine tune their ball reaction when compared to the traditional symmetrical version of the core. The pearlized GB 12.0 coverstock provides more energy storage and downlane motion compared to Ebonite’s GB4. This ball finds its home as you need to create more angle through the front part of the lane or once a hook point has developed downlane. Utilizing this friction, provides a ball motion that clears the fronts with ease and allows theBowler Stats: 18 mph (off hand), 420 RPM, Axis: 4 ⅞†right, ¾†up

The GB Asym is the evolution in the faithful Game Breaker line. If you have ever wanted that GB4 to get there a little cleaner and not miss the mid lane because you had to pick up the speed too much, TADA! Here's the fix. The clean Cover matched up with the V2 asymmetrical core accomplishes that perfectly. The trusted Game Breaker line just got better. I use mine when I get a little too much roll in the middle with my GB4. It is also great if you want to go a little straighter through the fronts and still get the predictable ball roll of the Game Breaker line.
