I have drilled two Game Plans, and have been able to throw it now for some time and feel I have a good hold on it's uses. I first took the shell down to a 1000 abralon to knock the factory shine off and then polished over that. Out of the box the ball does not like oil and I recommend taking the factory shine off, either like I did or at least with 4000 abralon. After throwing this ball on a variety of patterns, I feel the Game Plan will become a Bench Mark ball for a lot of bowlers. For a pearl this ball picks up a roll very quickly, giving you a lot of control of the midlane, but still clean through the fronts saving a lot of energy for the pins. The continuation of this ball is almost like the Mission in the back part of the lane. I would say the Game Plan reads the back part of lane with a very hard but controllable arch. When the Mission, Vital Sign, or Magic Action has too much cover for what you are bowling on, the Game Plan fits the bill. The hit of the Game Plan was also more like a High Performance look through the pins, rather than your typical symmetrical in this price range. I was really surprised at how strong this ball really is, and that's why I say it will be a bench mark ball for a lot of bowlers. The Game Plan can be used on a Variety of Patterns, but will excel on short to medium length sport patterns and PBA Patterns. The Game Plan is really good on your Typical house pattern, as it doesn't over react on the friction and has enough cover for the oil hence you take the factory shine off. The Game Plan shines on Medium to Light volume oil patterns.
For layouts of the two Game Plans I drilled see my arsenal link below.

Hello everyone. I have thrown the Game Plan a lot now and feel like I can give a pretty honest review of the ball.

Like many other people have said on this forum I strongly recommend stripping off the polish out of box with say a 1000 pad and then re-applying factory finish polish.

In my case I hit mine with 500, 1000, then applied the polish.

I was really anticipating this release as I absolutely loved the Lane Breaker. The only difference is the cover which I would consider slightly weaker.

The reaction is very comparable to my Lane Breakers. This is my "go to" ball or better known as the benchmark ball. I can tell what I need to do by throwing it 2 or 3 times. From there I'll know if I need a stronger or weaker core/cover combo.

I have thrown my Game Plans on the Chameleon, Scorpion, and Cheetah and THS. I really don't see a condition where this ball couldn't match up. I have found that it takes cover adjustments easily and I can use my favorite drillings with this one.

Layouts:

PAP: 4 1/4 over, 5/8 up.

Game Plan 1: 50 X 5.5 X 70 with a hole in the P4 position.

Game Plan 2: 60 x 5.5 x 70 with no hole.

I bowl on a lot of high friction surfaces and patterns so I typically use 5-5.5 inch pins combined with higher angle totals.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

When you successfully implement a Game Plan you're on the right path to WIN!

The Game Plan is the second of the new 2010 Ebonite Ball line that I have drilled for myself, and I couldn't be more excited about how it rolls for me.

I used a basic pin over bridge layout, and pushed the CG out just past my ring finger to give me a more skid flippy type layout, which has worked great for me so far.

As many people probably know, the Game Plan is fairly similar to the Lane Breaker, only better. It gives me a much better midlane read, along with a strong conrolled motion to the pocket. With this ball, I never have to worry about the ball jumping on me through the face, as it has great predicability and control at the breakpoint.

I strongly recommend the Game Plan for any bowler looking for a new benchmark ball, or simply looking for great performance at an even greater price.

The Game Plan is a good edition to anyones arsenal, especially those with slower ball speeds and higher rev rates.

This ball clears the heads as good if not better than something like playmaker. I drilled mine with the pin above the middle finger. The CG was pretty close to palm, and no hole was placed in the side. I have a backend monster on my hands here... I took it to one of the centers in my area that dont like to put alot of oil out, and this thing didnt have a problem getting down the lane at all! I normally dont like the carry of ebonite balls but this piece carries very well for a lighter oil type ball. Remember though, if there is oil, just put it away. I enjoyed throwing mine at box finish but if its to flippy work on the surface before turning the ball away. Also, I would go with the weaker type layouts if you have a higher ball speed or intend to use it on med-oily conditions. This ball definitly goes great with the Vital Sign and Mission. I have a feeling you will see this thing on tv real soon. John

The GamePlan is a very versatile ball. I have two drilled. One with the pin down under the middle finger at 75 degrees and one with Ebonite drilling #7(pin above the ring finger, cg kicked out right-5 inches from the pin to my pap) Both of these balls are absolutely awesome. This is my BENCHMARK ball. I start out with this ball so that I can get a quick feel for what the lanes are doing from there it is just about lining up and going to work. The Gameplan reminds me of a Complete NV with surface. This ball is great on standard house shots as well as tournament play.

Drilling - Pin above middle finger CG kicked to the right

If you loved the Lane Breaker, you will love the Game Plan as it has the same weight block but with a stronger coverstock.

I use my Game Plan on medium oil patterns as the ball gives me a good bit of length.  After the heads break down, I can use this ball to get down the lane and still have a good transition to the pocket.  This ball is definitely a benchmarking ball as it gives a true reaction to the oil pattern.

LANE CONDITION

Length: 39

Volume: Medium

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): THS/ Kegel Middle of the Road/ PBA Viper

COMMENTS

Likes: I love this ball. This is the most consistent rolling, smooth rolling polished reactive ball I have thrown since my old Track Revmaster. I have used this ball in multiple houses on THS and sport conditions and as long as there's enough dry to turn it over I am gold. It carries shots that it shouldn't. Again, I love this ball.

Dislikes: Factory finish polish seems to wear off way to fast.

I dilled the gameplan to play on fresh wet patterns eithier house or sport.  layed it out with a 50X5X35 and after throwing it alittle on the fresh made a surface change to 1000 grit and it came alive.  i have used as coarse as 800 o9n the cover. Great ball rolls the middle of the lane really good and doesnt over react on the backend which is essential on sport patterns.  Bowl to win!
