REVIEW:
This ball out of the box provides excellent length and strong move in the back-end. With the 1000 Abralon finish, Powerhouse Factory Finish and this layout, the ball has great length and a strong reaction in the back end. For me, this ball is stronger than the Pivot Point OOB. The hybrid cover provides the necessary bite and reaction when the heads begin to break down and you need to step in and get the ball to turn the corner. It's about 4 left on the approach and 2 left with the eyes stronger than the Pivot Point; which has more of a strong continuation in the back-end. I enjoyed using this one and the blue swirling colors look good too!

PAP  3 3/16 over and 1 inch up

High rev rate/ high track medium ball speed.
League Average: 232

This ball currently clears the heads extremely well.  The angularity on the backend is similar to that of an Angular One I had years ago.  It is a bit touchy off the spot based on ball speed and amount of rotation applied but that is the bowlers fault not the ball.  Every time I got this ball to the spot it reacted as expected and the pin carry is better than I have seen in many years.  If you are looking for something for a league shot that you can stand left and rip on this ball is definitely a strong choice.  I haven't had a chance to change the surface enough to see what it will be like in tournaments but my initial reaction is over under at OOB finish.

 The Honor is the number 1 piece in my bag these days. I’ve had great success with this ball.  It rolls as heavy as anything I’ve thrown.  I’ve had great success staying behind the ball going up the lane as well as moving in and slow hooking it.  The ball reads the late midlane for me and makes a strong arcing move to the pocket with great continuation and carry.  The Honor is also a good benchmark ball. I can tell right away if I need to ball up or down.  However, I am able to use the Honor on a very wide spectrum of conditions on both wood and synthetic lane surfaces. If you haven’t thrown an Ebonite ball for a while, take a good look at the Honor.  You’ll be glad you did.

COMMENTS

The Honor is the third ball from Ebonite with the CB-2 Asymetric core (.017 intermediate diff).  I had eagerly been awaiting it's release after seeing TJ throw the unmearked version of this at the EBI showcase at Bowl Expo.  In my house, this is the first ball out of my bag for league and it's what I expect the ball to be - no surprises.  If there's hang or wetter heads then it's the Energy Source, if I can't keep it off the beak, than a Pivot Point pin up or Salute will be the choice.  The Honor is for me extremely heavy rolling and with some hand position changes I can usually use it for the entire night chasing the pattern left.  For a strong hybrid, it's clean in the fron half, but reads strong enough to cover (or recover) from my misses right. 

Out of the box it can be squirty for some, I have taken some of my customers to 2 or 3k and they get the midlane they need without sacrificing backend.  Tuneable - yes.

This is the ball that Utah customers have looked at and purchased....bringing more customers back to Ebonite.
