I bought the Infinite One to use on heavier oil.  I threw it a couple of times when I first got it but I couldn't really find a mark to shoot from.  On Tuesday this week I pulled her out again.  I had the proshop tech sand the thumb hole a little and bevel the front edge for better comfort.  I shot a 199, 198, 300. This ball is awesome in my opinion.  I think ball speed really made the difference. I normally throw at 18mph, I slowed to 15mph and I couldn't miss my last game.

This is my second review on this ball. I just had to tell all of you bowlers out there how destructive this ball is. Punched this one different than the last. Gave this one a 4 x 4 layout with a 1" hole 2.5 inches deep on my axis. Hit the surface with 1000, then 2000, then 4000 abralon and some factory finish polish and BINGO. I just got off the lanes. 248, 279, 300 for 827. Undeniably the strongest ball I have ever thrown. A very strong but predictable ball motion. I threw 8 messengers in my 300. Those pins didnt have a chance. I would recommend this ball for anyone looking for a heavy oil ball with a very adjustable surface. Get the Infinite One. You cant go wrong. Guaranteed. Bowl to Win.

this ball is definitely the first one out of my bag for fresh THS conditions.

ball drilled with ping above the ring finger and cg in middle of span with a lil xhole.

this ball is 14lb and with golden pins is not too good... at least from what i can see. i ve been hitting the pocket very consistently but always leaving some pin/s standing. however with normal pins, i have a higher probability of striking.

so far nothing in my bag hit as hard as the infinite one from the angle im playing.
this ball would be the one(not THE ONE ) for any player who wants aggresiveness on the back. i ve seen a full roller using this ball and it just digs into the pins. Im a 2hand bowler, high revs and med speed (getting faster tho) and so far i have not found a lane that can make this ball go long.
--------------------
I go two-handed, and i hate stupid 10pins! cuz my 12lb spare ball hooks too much!

Ebonite Infinite One

Ball Specs
The ball being drilled was a 3” pin out with 3.00 oz top weight.
Drilling: Pin 4 1/2" from PAP and Mb 45 degree angle. Pin is Above Ring finger, 3" above grip midline. Weight Hole on VAL and Midline. Factory Sanded 500.

Bowler Information:
Track diameter is 10 1/2.
PAP is measured at 5 1/4 over and 3/8" up.
Average ball speed (foul line to head pin) is 17 mph.
Axis rotation is typically 90 degrees
Initial rev rate is typically 300 rpm, "Tweener"
Lane Condition and Pattern:
AMF Bowlero, HPL 9000 Panel. Oil Pattern: Medium Heavy Oil and slightly clean back ends. Fairly Flat condition from edge board to edge board.

REVIEW:
I thought when this ball came out, how is Ebonite going to improve on this ball from the original One series. But they did. Used on Heavier oiled lanes this ball performed better than any other sanded ball I have thrown this year. Bowlero so far this year has flooded the lanes and this ball has saved my butt several times with a high series of 689. Definitely intended for medium to heavy oiled lanes. Do not use this ball on medium to dry lanes at the factory 500 grit unless you throw the ball 20 miles per hour. Ball can be shined for drier conditions.

The only thing I don't like about the ball and this goes for all balls sanded at 1000 grit or rougher is that this ball needs to be constantly sanded with the provided 500 grit abralon pad to maintain the hook. I also don't like how the lettering gets dirty quick and after sanding seems to disappear. I wish Ebonite had a better engraving system.

Ron Hickland continues to impress me with his constant improvement of Ebonite's and Hammer's line. And this ball is just an example of that.

Thanks for reading my review.
Dwight

This ball is wonderful!  I have only been bowling for about a year now, so my opinion may not mean much.  However, I have to say that this ball hits harder than any ball I have ever thrown or seen thrown.  I had my pro shop drill it #1 with the pin above the ring finger.  My guy also put some polish on it because I was looking for it to go a little long.  I got it in the middle of a league night and shot the last game on it. Now, mind you, my average is only 139; I shot a 193 first game on it.  Obviously, I would have done better if my release was more consistant.  This ball was very forgiving.  If I missed a few boards in either direction it compensated and HAMMERED the pocket.  I will never try to save money by buying a cheaper ball.  This ball is all it anyone needs.

I got this ball when it first came out i have thrown 75 games with it and i love it. The past 3 years i have a avg of 210,212,207. Last year i had alot of problems with carry. This year i have had no problems with it in 3 leagues my low avg is 216. It is made for heavy oil and i have had the lanes break down on me in the third game but alittle more speed and move a couple boards and it worked great. I just bought the new One ball the 4th one in the series. I will write back with how that ball handled. I am hoping for when the lanes break down to be able to threw the new one and get the same great scores. I will always be a ebonite man for life!!!

1st ball
Drilled just like Drilling #1 but MB is between 45 to 75 degress
Based off from my style I recently experimented with the 45 and 75 degrees I do better off at MB between 45 to 75 degrees here's why

45 may cause little burn on front end with not much stored energy and cause little or no hooking action on the backend.

75 may cause too much backend on fresh lane conditions with little too much length on carrydown.

- Drilled pin above ringfinger
- CG kicked out 1-2 Inches to put the MB at 2 1/2 inches from the thumb between 45 to 75 degrees
- Weight hole needed to be placed because it was over an ounce of side weight we cut it down to 15/16 ounces of side weight
- Pin Placement was 3-4 Inches Pin to CG was 3.5"
- Top Weight was 3.5 ounces
- Finger Weight was 1/4 ounces
- Side Weight was 15/16 ounces

Lane conditions was Medium with fresh backends

I shot with this ball lots of times I shot almost a 700 leaving a 672 with the ball this ball is clean through the heads with stored amout of energy with strong move on the backend it works ok with carrydown but not great at times. What I also like from this ball is that it has tremendous amount of pin carry and pin action you cannot go wrong with the Infinite One you'll be happy with this ball trust me.

The other one was drilled by Drilling #3 with no weight hole and side weight is 7/8 ounces

Finger weight was 1/4 ounces

Pin to CG was 3 Inches
Pin Placement was 2-3 didn't need no weight hole

This ball hooks good on carrydown and strong off the backend part of the lane good amount of stored energy and hard off from backend I need this ball whenever my other Infinite One doesn't hook on Carrydown so this one is useful in situations like this.

I'm planning on getting the Angular One sometime soon stay tuned

Way to go Ebonite keep up the good work

I have been pretty much a Brunswick guy for the last few years, and Ebonite was always at the bottom of my list.  I tried the Infinite One at a Demo days, and was so impressed that I drilled one up.  Pin was 5inches to PAP, above the fingers, and MB was 3 inches to PAP in thumb quadrant.  This in one of the smoothers rolling balls I have thrown, with no quit off the dry, while still clean through the heads.  Cover is holding up very well which has always been my pet peeve with Ebonite.

Great ball for higher speed strokers who like to roll the ball and not cover every board in the house.

Not big on this ball.  This ball doesn't really do a whole lot and personally I have left a lot of taps with it.  It carries when it ones to and finishes nice, but I jsut haven't had anything to brag about with it.  Not like the Big One or the new Angular One.

Haven't had an Ebonite ball since the days of the cat series. There seems to be a lot of good hype about the ONE series, so I drilled up an INFINITE ONE.
My Stats are...
Right handed
3 leagues current averages are 235,229,220
Years bowling=36
Cranker and stroker (can play many lines)
Former pro shop owner and manager of 40 lane establishment.
300 games  13
800 series  2
PAP is 4 3/16"
Drilled up a 15# INFINITE ONE with #2 drilling on suggested drilling patterns sheet. PIN was placed above and between fingers. CG WAS KICKED OUT TO THE RIGHT A LITTLE and mass bias even with thumb, about 3 inches to the right. Ball is very dull out of box, so I put it down to 600 grit and polished it with 3M Finesse-It polish.
Threw this ball for 5 minutes in practice and could do no wrong. Must have thrown 15 shots, 14 were strikes. Did this with different lines. Ball EASILY clears the heads and revs up like no other ball I've ever seen. TRUST THIS BALL! It will come back from the outside. The lanes I bowl on are oiled 38 feet, buffed to 42. This ball hits HARD! keeps pins low for more pin action on light hits. So...My first night scores were...
276+237+276=789
Blew the 300 and the 800 in 10th frame, but it was my stupidity.
I HIGHLY recommend this ball for medium to heavy oil.
Good luck and Good bowling!!!

See stats for profile.

Lay Out: 5" from PAP(over edge of ring finger), 80deg angle. 1" Wt hole, on axis and 1.5" deep so as only to remove side weight and not to hit the core.

Surface: Box (500abr)

Purpose: To give myself a arsenal gap ball that I could use on longer and higher oil volume patterns until they opened up enough to use my Big One.

Observations: I have tried this so far on a freshly oiled THS that is close to 40', but medium volume. This pattern is no match as I ended up way left and had to go away from the pocket to give the ball a chance to work. Out of the box, this is way too much ball for the condition. If I was going to see nothing slicker than this, it appeared I could smooth the surface up and still get a good hard-charging reaction. Even with that being the case, the ball did still hook and hit very hard when I gave it enough room. I tried to practice like they were hooking and I had to go away from the pocket from a deep angle to get the ball in the hole. This ball on a fresh shot gave me that look to practice on.

Final thoughts: My thought on laying this ball out was a pretty stable, safe drilling and letting the ball be surface/cover dominant and not core dominant like some of the One series balls can be.
I think I have found the ball to fill the gap that I was looking for. I plan on joining the PBA regional program and already bowl on some tougher tournament conditions and long, thick patterns force me to slow my ball speed down so the ball will read. The early look is that will not have to be the case with the Infinite One.

I GOT THE BALL LAST YEAR IN NOVEMBER.REALLY LOVED THE BALL AS I HAD IT DRILLED UP WITH THE NUMBER TWO DRILLING.IT DID DIE OUT AFTER A VERY LIMITED NUMBER OF GAMES. HAD REJUVED,SANDED AND REPOLISHED AND COULDN'T GET IT BACK TO THE POCKET.TOOK IT DOWN TO 500 AND IT WAS BETTER ,THEN A FEW WEEKS LATER IT DIES AGAIN.STARTED PLAYING A STRAIGHT DOWN AND IN SHOT JUST TO GET THE BALL THE WORK.I AM ON A MEDIUM OIL SHOT AND A SHOT I HAVE BOWLED ON FOR YEARS WITH NO PROBLEMS.WILL BE TAKING THE BALL OUT OF THE BAG AS I AM HAVING A TOTAL NV DRILLED UP ON THURSDAY. CAN'T WAIT TO REV IT UP COME THE WEEKEND.ALSO GOT A TOURNAMENT TO BOWL IN AND HOPEFULLY WHEN I PULL IT OUT I CAN DOMINATE.AVERAGE 215 ON A MEDIUM OIL SHOT. GOT ONE GUT BETTERTHAN ME IN THE LEAGUE AVERGING 222. HE HAS TONS OR POWER AND REVS. LOOKS LIKE TOMMY JONES OUT THERE ON THE LANES.

Tried the Ebonite Infinite One.

AS I am normally a pearlized ball roller, the ball took some getting used to.

That said I feel that med to heavy oil with concentration on proper mechanics
works best for me with this ball. Keep speed medium to avoid either rollout or
over-skidding through the heads.

 It does hit very well.
