What an amazing ball.  Probably one of the best balls i've thrown next to the Warrior.  I love this ball.  Ball is 15lbs, drilled with the pin to the right of the ring finger and the cg right below it.  FOrget what kind of drilling this is called.  For me, i bowl at Sunset Lanes where the house is a heavy shot with carrydown mostly.  In practice, was standing on 15 and 20 throwing this ball to ten and swinging it to 5 and it came back with a vengence.  Left a lot of 7 and 10 pins.  Some soft and some hard pocket hits.  Left the ball factory finished.  But next time I go to practice and throw this ball if i still leave 7 and 10 pins, will take it back in the pro shop and probably put some polish on it.  Either polish it or sand it.  Will take it to and see what my ball driller will say to do with it.  Right now, I feel like this ball replaces my v2 solid in my bag.  SO going to either sell my v2 or give it to the pro shop.  If your thinking of a big reactive ball for heavy oil with carry down, this ball is for you.

Drilled - Pin above ring finger, Cg below, small X-hole.
No surface adjustments.

Want hook for NOT alot of cash?! Here it is. The Jungle Pred gets thru the fronts and has no problem with carrydown. Fits between the Adrenaline and Solid Savage. Probably the most energy saving particle ball I've ever thrown. Opens up the backends, incredible hit. Easily polishes for needing more length.

Great for players that need more hook then their Savage, or those that need more length then their Adrenaline. This will be a big seller, a price tag in Cat Series category, you cant beat it!

I drilled it with the Pin to the right of the ring finger and the CG below it slightly kicked to the right of the pin with a small weight hole.  All I can say is wow does this ball snap hard.  The nice part about it is that it has a controllable roll through the heads and a strong mid-lane snap with a strong finish in the backend.  It hits hard but the only thing so far is that I left a lot of ten pins with it.  They where solid taps though...nothing soft.  It is a great ball at a great price.  I would definitely suggest this over an Apex.

The Ebonite Predator Jungle Green will be one of my best sellers. I used one of my favorite drill patterns... 5x5 pin out 3" with the pin just above the fingers. I left the ball at box condition.

The ball was too much for me for the two typical league patterns I bowl on when I revved it up. But with a weaker wrist and hand position I was able to play just inside the oil line around 13 and blast the pocket.

At the ABC in Knoxville, this ball was it for the Sport Pattern tournament that coincides with the ABC Nationals. The oil pattern was very heavy so I decided to play straight up the 8 board right at the pocket with a weak release. My plan worked to keep the ball in play and not get into trouble. I figured I needed to shoot about 240 the second game to win the daily tournament so I moved into 20 and turned it up to try to create some area and increase my carry.

Wow! The Predator Jungle Green loves oil and I was able to create area on the demanding sport condition. I didn't quite shoot 240 because of a bad shot in the tenth, but ended up 7th and made some good money in the brackets.

Overall: This ball loves the oil but is also very clean through the front end with great recovery on the end without the flippiness of some balls.

The Predator Jungle Green is not only at a great price point but will work well for the strokers to the guys that rip the cover off of it.

I drilled this ball with the pin on my center of grip line with 1/2 OZ. Neg. side weight on label. The pin is under the bridge of fingers 5 inches from my axis.  I put a shine on the ball. I used it in league my first game on a low oil pattern. With the ball polished I had no trouble in the middle of the lane getting the ball to the pocket and had good back end. It seemed to role ok but I think it would be better on medium to heavy oil.

Didn't really know what to expect from this new addition.  Drilled mine with the pin beside my ring finger, cg was 2" under that and a small hole 6" from midline back to zero.  With box surface it was way too much for where I bowl (imagine burnt heads AND midlane).  I used Ebonites particle polish which works fantastic.  It now seems to glide through the rough stuff and retains a nice arc for the backend.  Very controllable.  Hitting power was around an 8 from 1 to 10.  Overall, an excellent choice for the price tag.  By the way, I like Ebonites choice of a darker solid color pattern for the cover...it's easier to read than the flashy swirl models.

I drilled this ball a couple of weeks ago and finally got enough oil to throw it.This is an aggressive ball.I drilled mine with the pin beside my ring finger and the cg stacked under it.This ball rolled great in a local tourney where the lanes were very oily.If you are looking for a ball for oil, this is it.

Drilled this ball based off of my Predator Sparkles. I put the pin over my middle finger and shifted the Cg to the right with a small hole on my Axis. I was surprised how much of the flare I controlled by drilling it this way. I found that the ball cleared the fronts and midlane very nicely with a smooth but continuous backend. I used it a little bit in the Orlando Tour Stop and had very good success. I agree with most of the posts it is a very versatile ball if you have someone that understands and is able to control ball flare drilling the ball for you. Not only for the price but period it is gonna be a good one.
p.s. I am gonna assume that you guys understand what surfaces work for you and you match the surface and drilling to your desired reaction.

The Predator Jungle Green by Ebonite is a combination high performance and reasonable price.  I have drilled one Jungle Green with the pin above the fingers at 5 inches from my PAP and the cg is at 3.  The ball was left in box condition and the balance hole is in my PAP.

I have bowled only on synthetic surfaces since drilling the Jungle Green, and I have an Apex Addiction with a similar layout.  The Jungle Green is a nice combination of power and predictability.  It does not rev up as hard in the midlane when compared to the Apex Addiction which provides an easy step down in ball choice when needing a particle ball. However the Jungle Green is by no means weak, it just has a delayed breakpoint in comparison to the Addiction.  In comparison to the Predator's this ball clearly gets through the front part of the lane easier than the solid and has an earlier but strong backend when compared to the Sparkle.

The Predator Jungle Green could be one of those Home Run balls. People are looking for equipment with versatility and value.  I say that the Predator Jungle Green is a ball that all bowlers should consider for medium to oily lanes.

I did not know what to expect from this ball as well.  I drilled my Predator Sparkle with a small deep hole, hoping to maximize the use out of the shell to get it down and flip, but being a little wobbly at the breakpoint, I decided to try something new.

I drilled this one with the pin just to the right of my ring finger and the CG in the midplane.  A 3 1/2"x5" drilling.  I polished the box surface with Matte Finish.

I wanted to see if this will catch a predictable wrinkle on moderate OB and I think it will.  I knuckled it in the flood and it still wanted to turn over, so I predict this will be a good ball on the fresh when other balls want to wiggle.  A step above the Addiction in hook potential.

Another great addition -- Ebonite Strikes Again

Hi All,

Just got my Jungle Green last night.....

I have the Savage pearl, Predator Solid and Predator Sparkle. All drilled revs leverage. I was looking for a ball that could handle medium oil with carrydown and can take over when the Savage pearl just can't recover enough due to the oil moving down.
After my experience with the Predator sparkle (more of a hook set ball, which doesn't have alot of recovery powers on carrydown)I was concerned in getting another particle ball for medium oil and was looking at the Savage Solid.
But after Ebonite answered a few questions I thought go for it.....and I must admit I'm sooooo glad I did.
This ball drilled exactly the same and kept in box condition does exactly what I want it to do, I bowl on synthetic lanes and a certain pair are always different, the right hand lane is always quicker than the left one. After getting it drilled I asked to go on this pair to give it a proper try out...
Warmed up using Savage pearl, standing 2 boards left of center dot, throwing around 3rd arrow arching in line with 2nd arrow and recovering to the pocket (my normal line).
On left lane no probs, on right lane just as expected it struggled to get back due to the slighly heavier / longer oil..
Got the Jungle Green out throw same line and bang, straight away crushed the pocket. Throught id throw it a bit wider and increased speed just to see how it would recover on off shots and was VERY IMPRESSED. This one is a keeper !! What surprises me the most is for a particle you actually think its a reactive the look on the lane, gets through the heads and most of the mid lane with ease and then really bites in, the carry is also very good !!
Now for soemthnig I wasn't expecting, but makes the ball even better....I decided to chuck the ball on the left lane, expecting the ball to hook more, but no in 3 strike shots, I got 2 washouts and the other just got to the head pin, due to the cleaner & drier backend this ball just lost its energy....why is this good ??
Well for me that really means its doing its job and is a very good lane reader as if I get that reaction I know the Pearl Savage should be the ball to use.
This ball takes the charcteristics from the Savage line and the Predators and mixes them to provide a great ball and one that completes my arsenal.
If you are looking for a ball that give you more recovery on medium oil than a pearl reactive, but is cleaner down the lane than using a sanded reactive this baby is for you and at the price, just like all the other cat series ball, it one that shouldn't be looked over !!!

Thanks for reading my review.

Regards

Stuart.

If you've read some of my previous posts on the cat series
balls you know that I believe it would be rather easy to
create an arsenal at a reasonable cost, without using any
other balls, well that just got easier.
Don't be concerned that the ball is reasonably priced this
is easily one of the biggest hooking balls you could buy.
I used a 4 x 2 layout and the ball gave me a BIG continuous
arcing action and great hit.
Don't be afraid, just drill it!

In my opinion this is the best particle ball we've had in a long time. Very versatile ball for a variety of conditions. Like the Addiction the cover is very user friendly. Out of the box this ball is very smooth and readable. Sees some play on pattern C (39'). I have 1 drilled at 4" at 11:00 pin under, no hole. Very smooth off the back of the pattern. This ball is easy to make minor adjustments off of. Polished this is a totally different ball. This ball acts like a particle through the fronts and mids but booms like a reactive in the back. When you need to get the ball down the lane and still jerk/hit, this is the one. I have one drilled at 5 1/2" at 11:00 pin under, no hole with a heavy shine ( factory finish - not particle polish ). This ball is quickly becoming a favorite of mine as well as Mika Koivuniemi and others. Ball saw a lot of play recently in Louisville, Ky

I drilled this predator 3-1/2 strong with extra hole 6" from grip in the thumb positive quadrant. My intention was to play far enough inside the top hat so the ball would not over react to the dry, but still roll in the oil. Bingo this one really surprised me. Not only did it work great, I got more backend than I thought with a 3-1/2" pin particle ball. For the price this one will be hard to beat. Great job EBONITE!
