I love this ball. I drilled two 2.0's. One pin up over my middle finger with out the box surface on it and one with the pin down underneath my ring finger(2000,4000 grit abralon) These balls are great control pieces. They get through the heads without burning up energy and they have more "pop" on the backend.

I have been using the 2.0's everywhere. If they become to strong for the lanes I switch to the Game On and it gives me a great one two punch!!

Right Handed.
Medium Rev Rate.
Medium/Low Ball Speed.
Normal Ball Track (within 1.5").
15lbs Ball.
Synthetic Lane Surface.
Heavy Oil Pattern (handles the transition to Medium just fine).
2" pin with 4x3 Drill Pattern.
Medium Skid/Roll.
Strong Arcing Backend (after surface adjustment).
Hits Like a Train.

Box Surface (2000) was a very strong flip. Changed surface to 1000 and wow, an AMAZING strong arc with no give up!

Highly Recommended.

I've had my 2.0 for a few months now, and am greatly satisfied with the roll and consistency this ball gives me. I pefer to play the inside shot, and when I have this ball in my hand, there's almost no limit to how far left I can move. On a THS I can free wheel it from anywhere I want, and still have enough energy to drive through the pin deck. I used a 50 x 5 x 40 Mo Pinel Dual Angle layout, and it rolls great for me. Ebonite did a tremendous job with their second release to the Mission 1.0, and look forward to many more high scores with it. As long as I have this ball with me, I can continue to Bowl to Win!

Mission 2.0 - Drilled with pin above ring finger, CG about 3 inches above pin and MB about an inch from the thumbhole on right - out of box finish.

This ball is a great compliment to the Mission 1.0 as it gets down the lane really clean before exerting its energy. The ball goes about 2 – 3 feet longer for me than the original Mission and has a great turnover on the backend. Hence it is storing its energy for the turn further down the lane. As with the Mission 1.0, the pins stay low to the deck with the 2.0 and it generates great pin reaction. When the burn area gets more to the front part of the lane, I can move deeper with the 2.0. As I move deeper, I do tend to leave a few flat 10’s only because of the angle of entry I am playing.

As with the original Mission....job well done on the Mission 2.0!!

My 2.0

drilling: 65 x 4 1/4 x 35 (down-lane hook basically)
cover: changed to 4000 abralon (from 2000)

ball clears the heads very well.
same smooth transition as original Mission but more angle and hook.

really digging this ball right now!

I absolutely love this ball. It has a very aggressive arc motion. I can move really deep with this ball if I want to, which I don't like to it just looks cool to the people watching behind me, lol. I watched a friend of mine throw this ball and he got a little more backend pop than what I got out of it.

Mine was drilled 45x 4 3/4 x55 (this is not dual angle layout). For me that places the pin above the bridge by about an 1 1/2" from the cut line of the fingers and MB is 2 1/4" from my COG (center of grip) line.

My ball speed is approximately. 17-18 MPH and my rev rate is approximately. 420-450 (I need a better camera to get a number a little more accurate than this).

Happy Holidays,

I have went through 2 of these balls already, and it's a welcome addition to my bag.

first one was a 60 X 5 X 15 with no hole. (pretty much a VAL layout), surface was tested at box, then switched to 4000. I liked this a lot around Long Island. Ball went long, and gave me a smooth, but strong transition on the back. I could play straight or open the lanes up.

The second one I drilled was a 50 X 4.25 X 30 with no hole. The CG was actually quite a bit to the right of the pin to MB line hence no hole was necessary. WOW, this piece rolled well. I bowled pot games with a few of my friends and this piece obliterated the shot. We bowled on a broken down house shot with carry down and I think my low game of 4 was 258. Then we had to take a break so the mechanic could oil for leagues. We got on the fresh and I shot a 279. This one read the lanes beautifully. Very easy to read, and manipulate.

Common denominator was no extra holes in these pieces. I can have a lot of trouble with asymmetric cores and extra holes are hit and miss.

My favorite layout for an asymmetric core right now is basically a 4 X 4 with a 1.5" pin buffer (50 X 4 X 20) with no hole. This gives me that strong read of the mid lane and good continuation through the pins.

If you liked the original Mission, go get yourself a 2.0 and you will have the best 1-2 punch on the market in terms of high performance balls. I recommend a pin down layout on the original, and pin up on the 2.0 with a little weaker pin placement.

Happy Striking!

Likes: Wow what an amazing ball. I loved my original Mission but wished for a longer stronger reaction and Ebonite delivered with the Mission 2.0. The 2.0 is so clean threw the heads and easily gets down the lane even on medium/dry conditions and once it reads the backend it reacts and has a breakpoint like no other with a hitting power to awe the competition.  Im so looking forward to the release of the new Mission Domination. Keep up the great work Ebonite.

All I can say is...THIS BALL is AWESOME! I have it drilled for maximum hook bc I typically throw to fast with not enough rotation to get hook but boy does this hook! And when it hits pocket it hits hard! I don't have any complaints about it at all. Bravo ebonite for an awesome product!

Likes: This ball is amazing!!!! My ball is drilled pin over ring, it is smooth through the front, and hits like a truck. The pins don't stand a chance. It complements the original Mission I have. With these 2 balls you wont need anything else!!!! You won't be disappointed with this ball. It is a must have.

Likes: Much longer than original mission for me, makes an aggressive move in the back, gives me the ability to open the lane up a lil more than the originial

Dislikes: Ball likes to burn up early if it hits the dry and hit a lil weak. Likes to roll out if it sees the dry to early.

The mission 2.0 is a great compliment to the original mission. Overall hook is the most I have ever seen. The sanded pearl coverstock helps it clear the front part of the lane better, but it is super strong in the midlane and even dull still has a monster backend. Great job on this ball ebonite. Bowl to Win!
