Impression:
I kept it at oob and is much more angular than the solid counter part, but stayed true by not snapping off of the breakpoint. This ball has a very good midlane read w/ a strong and predictable move. Now i decided to take it to 1k w/ some polish and that "was what the doctor ordered" skids through the heads very easily and gave me a stronger move off the BP that i much prefer. So far its coming close to be my favorite pearl ( at top is the Absolute Inferno). The coverstock is quite versatile and if you pleased with the look u recieved w/ the gamebreaker the playmaker will not disappoint u.

My first game I shot 235 with two opens which was great!
I will post more when I have more games with the ball but so far so good.

Clean through the heads it picks up a late roll then snaps hard. On med conditions this ball is great for her. She finally broke 500 this year(not first time ever, lol) and is looking for 550 to 600 anytime.

Expectations: To be angular on Medium oil or shorter patterns
Impression:
I got exactly what I wanted. On medium and shorter patterns, this ball jumps off the backend and continues through the pin deck. Carry is great. This continues as I move my feet left. When I miss left a pinch, the ball is able to hold the pocket but it does not dgive me much left because of how strong the ball is off the dry. This ball is not a skid/snap ball because it is able to read the mids better than most balls that gets angular off the dry.
I compare this ball to my sanded 1000 BW Perl but with a different shape in that they cover about the same boards. This ball is stonger that the Venom both in other all hook and off the dry.

Overall, I am very impressed with the PLAYMAKER. I don't know if it's the RICO drilling (thanks NOVA) or just the characteristics of the ball, but it gets great length with good back end action. I wouldn't use it on an extreme flood, but medium to med heavy this ball should really shine! Also thanks to Damon at Ebonite!!

this is my first ebonite ball. I am amased how it reacts through out the
lane. I dont throw a lot of ball like some of the super stars out there.
This ball is very predictable. I get a lot of messengers, man the reaction

Overall impression
To condidtion specific at oob but with surface prep and little time. This ball really earned a place in my bag. So at 2000 sanded.. Length... 7.5-8 Midlane 8 overall hook 8.
Overall i would said this would be a very good benchmark ball for alot of people but dont be afraid to play with the surface...

This ball is very predictable and very controllable. Compared to the One Pearl which was/is much stronger at the break point. Both are very clean through the fronts. The Playmaker has worked well on low volume conditions and drier patterns. I have been very pleased with this ball.

I have a great look on the dry to burnt patterns with the Playmaker and I enjoy the smooth reaction it gives me on the dry to drier patterns is where this ball shines the most.
I choose to keep the Playmaker shiny and when I throw it on heavier patterns it hangs in the oil until it finds enough friction to turn over if it turns over at all, its not meant for heavier patterns in my opinion. Im my opinion the Playmaker is a great ball to have in your bag for those med dry to dry patterns.

I have to admit that I never got the opportunity to quite firgure this ball out all the way. Unfortunately, it met an early end when it cracked all the way around within 3 months of purchase. What I can say is that it was definitely a skid flip monster that got through the front part of the lane better than any low RG ball I've ever seen. This ball was definitely going to be at home playing in the track area to deep inside angles and was not a ball that you would try to play up 5 with. I tried to play out with it several times at difference surface finishes and it just didn't work. Had most success with it deep inside. In the end, I wish it wouldn't of cracked because I would've found a way to make it work and after it cracked, I decided to go another way with the replacement.

I love the ball. Just shot 298 in Postal/Federal Tourney and it was one of the weirdest lane conditions. Lot of low scores for anyone with high revs like myself. The Playmaker gave me a good roll on the lane and finished great all weekend. On heavier oil it does get erratic tho. If you're pretty accurate at hitting you mark (which I'm not, I need area) you should be good on any lane condition with this ball. Pick one up if you like Ebonite. It's a definite must have.

Mine is drilled pin up with stacked in the palm, so it's pretty neutral. I have most success on house shots that are medium light to medium heavy. Sounds contradictory but it's the flatness on the pro heavy shot that hurt the reaction, and on heavy house shots most are lighter on the edges.
I like this ball but it's not the best I've thrown. Not too versital but I really haven't changed the factory cover much, I like the polished finish better and the shelf appeal.
