- Description:The Pursuit Series is a Dual  introduction, with a very unique perspective on marketing and  merchandising to Pro Shops and, most importantly, to the bowling  consumer!  Let’s talk about the product first and foremost: Core:  The Pursuit is a Mass Bias bowling ball, with a Mass Bias Rating  of .008.  The Pursuit core is named the Empire Core.  The Pursuit S is  the Symmetric version of the Pursuit core, with a Mass Bias Rating of  .000 and will be named the Empire S Core design. 1) Mass Property Modulation Core Design - This allows Pro Shop  Technicians the opportunity to change Mass Bias properties in the  drilling process to match the shape the bowler is looking for on the  lane. 2) Advanced Drilling Stability - As a result of the unique shape of the  Empire core, you will change the values of RG and Differential at the  same rate when drilling. Cover:  This is the most exciting part of the new Pursuit Series, the  new chemistry!  When discussing the Ebonite Brand, there are a few known  qualities . . . the large negative quality the brand has had to deal  with for years is longevity.  We have a few items that we know will  positively address this: 1) Chemically Treated Surface – As each Pursuit ball makes its way off  of the finish line, each ball is treated chemically in order to open the  pores and achieve optimal performance. 2) Ultra Robust Surfacing – Through the testing phase, we worked on  multiple surface options that would allow the Pursuit balls to maintain  length, but still offer strong backend continuation.  The best possible  surface that we tested is 800 Abralon and 1500 Abranet. 3) Hyper Branched MDI Technology – This new cover system offers more  performance, longer than any other industry MDI covers currently used. 4) All New Components – The Ebonite Pursuit Product Line is using  materials that NO OTHER BOWLING BALLS are currently using!  Concept:  In bowling, we all know that there are bowlers that are able  to take advantage of the latest and greatest cores each Brand releases  to the market.  At Ebonite, we have long been known for developing some  of the very best cores the industry has ever used . . . but, as we all  know, the cover is the most important part of the equation when we talk  about creating ball motion.  With Rev Rates of some players being so  high, they really have been a segment of the market that has been  neglected.  That is where the Pursuit S comes into play!  Finally,  Players that have High Rev Rates have a ball with the absolute latest  cover technology!  So, the question becomes; are you “Down and In” or  are you “Coast to Coast”????  Either way, the Ebonite Pursuit or Pursuit  S will offer you the absolute best performance in the market to date!

 COMMENTS
Carry - This is the hardest hitting Ebonite Ball that I have thrown in a while.
Likes -I  had a hard time keeping the ball right when it was dull. So i shined up  the ball, and it the ball became like a crankers version of the jet  black. Ultra clean through the fronts, then all the energy turned into  backend motion. Leave the ball dull, and I think this ball will be great for heavier patterns
Dislikes - As with all super  dull balls, this ball soaks up oil like a sponge. It can definitely  destroy an oil pattern depending on how it is used.
Other - This ball definitely Hooks a  bunch. If the ball lasts longer than the Mission X, this ball could  definitely be the first ball out of my bag for the flood.

I  have drilled two of these balls.  They hook alittle less than the pursuit but more angular and more continuous.  The layouts i used were

60 x 5 x 40

box finish with light polish with factory finish polish

great reaction even in around fifth arrow,

70 x 5 x 70

box finish with high shine with factory finish polish

great on everything

what a one two punch ebonite has with the pursuit and pursuit s.

COMMENTS

The PURSUIT S is very, very clean through the front part of the lane.  This ball flares very, very little due to the modification of the core (PURSUIT).  Most balls that flare this little usually create over/under for me.  The PURSUIT S will respond in high volumes and longer patterns.  This is what amazed me about this ball - the strength of the ball motion with a symmetric core.  This shows just how strong the cover is in the PURSUIT series.

I really like the versatility of the PURSUIT S.  I can modify my rev rate, tilts and speeds and this ball will respond perfectly.  The cover can be changed to any grit and/or polish.  I originally thought this ball would be targeted for only higher rev and slower ball speed players, but I was wrong.  I believe this could be a "bench mark" ball for most players.  The combination of the cover and core is that good.

I think every competitive player should have the PURSUIT S in their bag.  This ball is that good.  Great job Ebonite.  This is truly a GREAT ball.

Pursuit S
Pin to right side even with ring finger / CG approx. 3inches from Pin (directly underneath)
Out of box surface
Right Handed

The Pursuit S goes a bit longer for me than the Pursuit and has a controlled back end reaction.  It is very clean through the heads and midlane.  Due to my style of game, the Pursuit is more versatile for me. However, when the lanes begin to break down, I can use this ball to get through the heads further before exerting its energy.

COMMENTS

I drilled my staff ball 50 x 5 1/4 x 30 and left it at box surface. This ball is fun! I don't know how else to describe it, I have more fun throwing this ball than any other. I can go straight, hook it, loft it, kill it, bang on it, anything and the ball still goes through the pins the right way. I've used it on any pattern you can think of with no problems. If you need a benchmark ball in your bag, this is it. I hope there is more in the future with this strong symmetrical core stuff. Very happy with this ball, 4 sitting in the bag  :)
