The new Total NV Video is up at:

www.putfile.com/jeffussery

Enjoy the over 6 minutes of info and video footage!  There are over 50 video clips of bowling shots in this one, and it took a long long time to put together.  Hope you all enjoy it!  Don't forget to check out some of the other vids while you're there.  Detailed ball reviews of each Total NV will be available on proshoptraining.com on Friday.  I chose to get the video done first.  Thanks!

I'm not a computer wizard, so is there any way to download Jeff's videos other than a .flv format. WMP won't play these types of files.

I think that's just a product of using putfile - they convert the file to a proprietary format.

Jeff,

Great Vids!!! ... Thank you very much!  I like #3 and #2 a great deal.  Is it my understanding none of the balls were OOB, correct?  Would you agree 2000 is the "happy medium" or preferred surface to work with?  Really nice to see how 'effortless' the ball glides thru the heads.

I'm really 'feeling' the 35 degree layout.  very smoooooooth...

Vernon,

Ball #3 was in the "out of the box" factory condition.  4000 Abralon with Factory Finish polish.  Balls #1 and #2 have been scuffed with 2000 Abralon.  I like using 2000 to get a lot of my equipment to read the lane pattern slightly earlier.

Glad you enjoyed the videos!

jeff, thanks for the video. i really like the way you compare the reactions for each layout. it is nice to see and hear peoples opinions and reactions on new balls before they come out. i also like the 2000 abralon surface, whether it be left dull or polished. i am drilling up a black widow this weekend and will probably put 2000 on that as well. thanks again for taking the time to show all of us and answer any questions we may have...

Jeff, your videos inspired me to get a TNV (which I absolutely love).  Also, your approach to the line inspired me to trip over my own feet after I tried to duplicate it
Hehe, just thought I'd have to rub that one in!

split - Man, I tell you what.  A long long time ago a coach told me to walk one foot in front of the other.  Coach's used to actually teach that.  I wish it would go away.

Chunk - I prefer Ball #2 (in this bowling center) because it reads the lane pattern sooner, or it senses friction earlier.  This causes the backend to be a little more controllable, usually with a little less entry angle.  It's obvious in the videos, and from my expereince with the ball, that I sacrifice no carry whatsoever by going to this lower entry angle, so I choose to control the breakpoint more easily versus Ball #3.  Remember, these thoughts are condusive to the center you saw the videos shot in.  Ball #3 and Ball #1 are outstanding ball on different surfaces and different lane patterns than the ones the videos were shot on.

Thanks again!

By the way, does anybody want to see me actually laying out these balls before they were drilled?  I have that on video, but it compiled to over 6 minutes alone!  I could do a seperate clip with no frills if anyone is interested.

I'll be glad to.  It will probably be Saturday or Sunday before it's up.  But I'll post it and let everyone know.  This way you can see the actual process in creating these 3 layouts.

Thats a lot of lines.. the way my brother does is very different laying out a ball. He doesnt use a "reference" line like you do. Like say you use a 4x4 layout, all he does he makes two lines at 4" and where those two lines bisect is your pap and stuff. Kknow what I mean jeff?

Chunk - My RXS300 ball reacts really nicely in this bowling center.  There's no doubt that it's a nice reaction.

Lefty - Done properly, the way that you're reaching the placement of that positive axis point can lead to the same spot that I'm at.  Double arcs and degree systems will lead to the same point given the proper methods.

Thanks everyone!
