Hybrid NV?
« on: April 01, 2009, 03:33:04 AM »
I dont know if Im the only one hoping for this, but I would really like to see Ebonite come out with a Hybrid NV between 2 of the best balls in that line, The Total NV and the Complete NV, I think that would make an awesome ball, as I love both of those balls, but there is some space in between them even though both of mine are drilled the same, I feel the hybrid would fill the gap very nicely.

How does everyone else feel about this idea/ do you think theres a chance?

If there was a hybrid I believe that ebonite made it would probably be the combo of the One and the One Pearl...

But how would they make a hybrid of two pearls? Aren't both balls pearls with slightly stronger covers? Seems like your hybrid would be an NVS but with a slightly different core orientation?

I thought the Total was a Solid coverstock? I could be wrong here but always thought it was, then the Complete was a pearl.

Really hoping its not the one series, getting rid of the NV series totally is a big mistake IMO.

honestly nation wide the One Series has out sold the NV series by a large margin.

Regardless the NV series is D-Q'd. The Magic series is next. I think the Magic seiers is going to be better overall.

And I did shoot my only 800 with a Complete NV. 279-300-235 = 814. so i understand your grief.

They just changed the name to Magic, because the NV had a reputation for dying. The Complete and MAgic have the EXACT same core just a different conerstock.

actually they turned the core 90 degrees. so its not the same ball. and its a new cover. but i agree its very close. It's basically a solid Complete NV. The core in original NV was the same as the Total NV not the ComNV i believe.

companies have always done this. Black Widow = Big Blue core. V2 core in breaker. TiBoss core in Noize. all the companies do is use what works with new surfaces.

they essentially made a hybrid gb/pm with the pinslasher. the cover makes it go longer and stronger than the gb with a stronger cover for more traction than the playmaker.

are we talking about a hybrid of the "NV" of which only 288 were made?

how can you make a hybrid of one ball? hybrid means combining two things into one. they are talking about combining two of the existing balls in the NV line and seeing as how the NV wasnt a full scale release then no.
