If you bowl in a regional you cant use the ABS shoes. They are not one of the registered sponsors.

You can't use them or promote them?  There were boatloads of guys using them in Lombard earlier this year at a regional I entered.

House Hack.  Nothing more.  Nothing less.  And, according to my therapist, that's not so bad.

pbafire's right.

I did see several guys with tape on their shoes.  Now I know why.  The officials weren't instructing people to remove/hide the ABS logo with any vigor.  I guess the almighty dollar reigns supreme.

Nothing associated with ABS can be seen.  All logos/trademarks must be concealed.

I just read where the dynorooz shoes are OK to wear but the ABS shoes cannot be worn at all, even with the logos covered up. That went into affect 1/1/06.

Pbafire was correct.. thanks for the info.. It looks like I will be pulling my Dexters out of the closet tonight!!

A few people including myself have sent emails to PBA membership in Seattle.  I've been waiting for a week and a half for a response.

As a satisfied owner of ABS Tour Ultras... I find it hard to justify having to get new shoes for a couple regionals I bowl in each year.  Besides the ABS shoes were marketed by Dynothane in the first place as well.  I have no problem covering up the logos, but dang, to outright ban them sucks in this case.  I understand the PBA needs to protect their sponsors, but I believe this case is a little different and could be handled more leniently especially on the regional tour where they are looking for as many entries as possible.
