Red/Black Cover OOB

What is the Bash OOB? I looked on ebonite's website, but they didnt have any info on cover prep. The original was 1000 polished... is the new one the same?

i know the new bash is stronger than a scout but do you think it is weaker than a blue vibe? my impression is that it is

Yes, drilled with the same drill pattern, the Bash is a weaker piece than the Blue Vibe.  The Blue Vibe is lower rg, and higher diff. than either of the balls in the Bash series. That, along with the aggressive coverstock on the Blue Vibe, make it significantly stronger than the Bash.  The Blue Vibe is a great medium to medium-heavy oil ball, while you should be able to switch to a Bash when the Blue Vibe is starting to check up a tad early, or the lanes are on the medium-light oil side.  They would compliment each other rather well in your lineup.  Take care.

Most of us have found the Blue Vibe, using its stock surface, to be a medium-light oil ball. With your rev rate, and maybe with some surface changes, it will handle medium-heavy oil, but I would not characterize in that fashion for that amount of oil for most of us. The reviews in BTM and BJI seem to generally go along with this idea also.

While the Red/Black Bash hooks less due to its low flaring core, the coverstock probably allows it to cover similar amounts of oil, if in a more direct way.
