Another pin placement question
« on: February 27, 2007, 09:09:31 AM »
Lets say i drill up two identical total NVs. One with the pin just right of the right finger and the other just above the left finger. Would there be a dramatic difference. I do realize the higher the pin the longer the ball goes before it hooks. But what i am asking is moving the pin outside the fingers compared to just above or below the fingers. Will the ball arch or hook differently .I see alot of drillings that look just about the same expect for pin placement. Will moving the pin ever so slightly cause a big differance? Thanks for all the help. Ben

The pin left of the fingers will cause the ball to have a little less flare. This would create slightly less reaction but probably not enough to truly notice on THS.

So the more right the pin is place the bigger the flare and the bigger the  potential overall reaction?
