Title: Arsenal Coverstock Suggestions
Post by: mma1027 on December 08, 2010, 05:44:13 AM
Alright guys I posted this in the coverstock forum but not much feed back. Since they are mainly ebonite balls here it is. I have 6 bowling balls I've mainly picked up used and cheap when I've had the money. My question is what surfaces could i put on them to make the best up and down arsenal i can with what i have. I don't know the technical layouts but I remember most of the pin placements. So if you guys could make suggestions on surface and tel me the order they would be after would be great.

Blackwidow solid pin up between the fingers
Evolve pin next to the ring finger
Freeze pin up between the fingers
Tornado pin in the palm
Playmaker pin up not sure where
Complete Nv not sure on this one

About my stats avg ball speed 17-19 rev rate over 400
Thanks in advance for any help and input guys

since the Evolve is drilled the earliest I would put it at like 2000 Abralon. I would keep the Widow at box which is 4000 Abralon. The ComNV always rolled the best for me at 4000 Abralon. It should be stronger than the Widow so it should work there. Freeze keep at box, polished. The Tornado really isnt worth carrying around unless needed on a super dry condition. The Playmaker is good at 2000 abralon and polished.

Widow = 4000 abralon (medium oil)
Evolve = 2000 abralon (heavier oil)
Freeze = box / polished (light oil)
tornado = box / polished (dont really need to carry)
Playmaker = 2000 abralon w/ polish (medium/light oil)
Com NV = 4000 Abralon (Medium/Heavy oil)

hope this helps. remember these are suggestions based on what balls you own and also not seeing you throw a ball. Best I can do. good luck.
