one pearl and hot sauce pearl
« on: February 05, 2009, 10:22:21 PM »
Will both of these balls be pretty much the same reaction?

not at all the one pearl goes suprisingly straight.. the hot sauce is very responsive to friction and is a great complinment to the sauce.. both were drilled pin up cg in my palm. the mb on the one pearl was next to the thumb. it just seemed like the one pearl labored to turn over imo..

thanks for your help.  I have a one pearl and the ball turns like it was kicked when it hits the dry, so maybe your layout is weak or something.  i just didn't want to buy something (hot sauce pearl)  that is the same ball practically

I have "the one pearl"  with the #2 drilling off the spec sheet --- this ball, for me goes long then snaps left at the back end, as long as i dont over throw this ball it re-acts excellent for me. i really like how this ball re-acts and it hits very hard. if the ball that los 2003 has goes straight, then either its drilled incorrectly or he is overthrowing it. this ball matches my game. -- i was told that the hot sauce will have more back end, i dont know if this is true because i dont have the h.s. --- but my "one pearl"  works just fine for me. i also agree this ball does jump off the dry.

I have one pearl drilled #1 with mb 1 inch from thumb instead of 3 inch to make it more angular and surface at 1000 this ball goes sideways for me love it. My teammate has HS similar drilling oob and he had put away was way to jumpy of the dry I stayed with one pearl all nite just moved left stayed in oil and was still able to carry 10 pin, in my opinion the HS is about 5 boards more hook and more flipper the one pearl is smoother off the spot.I didnt like the 1st one but one pearl is only ball been using since got it very versitle, dont get me wrong dont think the HS is a bad ball just happy with the one pearl

bowled in the central ill men's tourney this past weekend at king pin lanes
springfield il.
pro shop owner reccomended the one pearl, drilled it pin above and center of fingers, got it fri night, bowled sat team, shot 170, 190, 299 with a ringing ten pin. shot 659, second set shot 664, sat in singles shot 640, and doubles shot 686, i'm not bragging about scores, but bragging about ball, i am a 196 avg bowler, med rev's, med speed. i was going to get cell pearl, or hot sauce, he didn't have them in 14 lb's, but had the one pearl in 14, i'm so glad he did. great ball.

I think the one pearl goes a little farther and snaps a little harder then the hot sauce pearl.

I agree. I threw a stronger drilled One Pearl and it went a little longer than the Hot Sauce. While the Hot Sauce makes a fairly smooth backend reaction for a pearl (not weak at all though). The One Pearl was much more "snappy", but seemed to fight under hooking in oil a little more than the Hot Sauce, even after knocking the polish off. Both serve a nice purpose though.
