Ebonite website and past drilling info.
« on: October 30, 2007, 03:40:15 AM »
I was always impressed with Ebonites site for it's comprehensive listing of past balls, coverstocks and tech specs AND PAST drill sheets.

Better than just about all others.  NOw I can't find past or Antique balls drill sheets.

Anyone know if they are still there or gone?

REgards,

Luckylefty
PS great description of past coverstocks in tech docs section.

See here

Where does the Phazed Bomber coverstock of the Xcel pearl fit in to the reactive list given in this link??

I couldn't find drill sheets for some of the newer releases.  Bash is one in particular.

I guess it's okay for people to bash (pun intended) a new company for not publishing a drill sheet (re: the 900G website sucks thread), but it's okay for a long established company.

If it's just a standard symmetric drill then they should just put a link to a standard drill sheet.....they didn't have a problem doing that with the Columbia site.

Use to love the Columbia site.  All those great articles on speed, wet/dry....now all gone!

REgards,

Luckylefty
PS on Ebonite they used to have a standard symmetric drilling sheet.  Can't find it but maybe one of the current symmetric balls has the same thing.  Didn't check...but will..

Most of those old drilling sheets were based on the thought that in addition to pin placement, cg dictated ball motion.  When companies redid studies on their own and found out the cg had no relevant effect on ball reaction or motion they simplified and changed the sheets.

LL, check here.  Might be some of the stuff you are refering to.  Not sure who owns the site or how much longer it will be up, so might want to save the info while it is still available.
