XXXcel or Storm Trifecta?
« on: November 09, 2005, 03:18:11 AM »
I'm looking to replace my Hammer Real Deal. I have a NIB XXXcel on the way (part of the combo deal with The One from Buddies), but I'm wondering if there's a better choice, besides the obvious, 'get another Real Deal' suggestion that is likely to creep up. Here are the numbers:

Real Deal
Diff: 0.057
RG: 2.48
Coverstock: Solid particle

XXXcel
Diff: 0.056
RG: 2.52
Coverstock: Solid Reactive

Trifecta
Diff: 0.056
RG: 2.47
Coverstock: Solid Particle

I love my Real Deal, and, given the opportunity, I would gladly trade for a NIB. But, since that deal hasn't been offered, I'm going to have to make something else fill that slot. I want a ball that will mimic the reaction I get with my Real Deal, which is a slight read in the midlane with powerful arcing backend. Of the two balls listed above, which do you think is likely to give me that look?

well gene, the numbers on the trifecta seem to be pretty close to the real deal.. That should mean the reaction of those 2 balls should be close if drilled the same..

I have seen all of them.

The REal Deal...very impressive.  Trifecta...not as impressive on our local conditions...a lot of early hook...I Like the Vertigo much better!

XXXcel is a lot like Real Deal but a touch more backend.

I really like the Hawg...like Real deal but with more continuation!

Sweet!

I think its all based on area then, because the vertigo was not well liked in our area at all..

The trifecta is currently being used by several storm guys in the traveling league I bowl in and this ball seems to work well on medium to heavy oil conditions on wood and synthetics..

I guess its just location and I bet the drill patterns used obviously have something to do with it..
