I got a Big One towards the end of the season and never had much luck with it. I would use it for a while but would end up going back to one of my Brunswicks. I'm bowling in a sport league this Summer where you can only throw the 2 balls they give you, Scorchin and Ambush. I stopped in for some practice tonight and wanted to try out the Big One some more to find out if I really like it or not. I started with the Big One and did not do well at all, only about 140. Part of that was missing spares, working on some new things and losing the ball off my hand a little. The next game I switch to my Strike Zone and shoot 247, even with a gutter in the 4'th. So now I'm thinking the Big One is just not for me. I add a piece of tap in the thumb and throw it again. This time I start with the front 9 before shipping it wide right with nothing on it for a 5 count and end with a 275. I guess if you throw it right, you get good results and I'll be hanging onto it for a while yet.

I really like my Big One alot.I have the pin 5 1/4 from axis above the fingers and mb at 75deg.It reads the midlane and keeps coming like a truck. Its probably a foot sooner than the one with alot more backend.
Cant wait for the next ball in the One series.

Went to watch a local league tonight. Surprisingly strong mixed league.
Lots of keen bowleres. What caught my eye was "THE BIG ONE"
A couple of bowlers were using it for the first night ever for each.
Both were on a 750 pace when I left.
Pin above and to out side of ring. Mass bias 1 1/2 from thumb and a weighthole down on VAL.
All of the bowlers I've seen with this ball have had a beautiful combination of lenght and early smoothness combined with a very smooth and readable but strong angle move to the hole.
In our center the ONE has done well but has a more defiined breakpoint.
This ball...butter and smoothness till it gets nasty at the pins!

Do others share the same view that the ONE is sharper off the break and the BIG one is smoother strong all the way down the lane! And powerful!
