Yeah, I know that is pretty much what you said. BUT, as I asked WHAT BALLS HAVE YOU SEEN THAT WORK WELL? (as you said...."don't know of too many balls that work in highly polished covers on carrydown") This leads one to believe that there ARE A FEW that DO WORK WELL, I was asking which ones DO WORK WELL? Thanks for your time and answers to my question.

Sorry for your problem HB.  Since, I started the post I will report tonite on AMF HPL with moderate carry down after 1/2 way thru the set with OOB on a medium heavy condition The One first set I ever shot with it I had 781.  This ball is what most have been raving about.

ACTUALLY  DON'T KNOW OF ANYTHING HIGHLY POLISHED THAT WORKS WELL IN REAL CARRYDOWN.
