Anyone got any ideas?
« on: August 19, 2005, 10:39:25 PM »
Hi

I'm looking for a medium oil ball that hits hard and has a good strong backend to help compensate for my lower rev rate. Not sure I want a particle ball, unless anyone thinks it could be a good move.

My profile shows as much information as I can give at the moment.....I'm not exactly an expert!

Thanks

If I were you and you have low revs but a high track.I would not look for a ball with strong backend, because those balls typically go long and your problem is you probably don`t get back to the pocket or it is weak when you get there. If I`m wrong let me know.So my recommendation is the V2 sanded drilled to go midlane and aggressive on the backend.Try out of box surface first and if it rolls to early put a coat of polish on it.With the low RG the ball has it should react with a strong/controllable/smooth arc.Respond if I`m if you think I`m wrong about your game and I`ll give you some other choices.

I would suggest either a Big Time Pearl since you don't really want particle solid. It is particle but pearl and still has a ton of backend. I would try a drilling in the area of 4 x 3 1/2 to allow for readable control. If you want something a little more aggressive in the midlane, I suggest the original Big Time drilled this way. You can always polish the coverstock for more length. I have seen this done on many of these and it works well. Good Luck.
