what to go try next
« on: September 02, 2005, 12:17:49 PM »
I had an xcel particle which I was kind of indifferent about.  Despite drilling it 4in pin to pap and putting the mass bias straight down the ball read a bit late for me and really didn't drive like my big bully which I drilled about a week later or the older apex's I have.  Then I got a big time which I had heard many great things about (drilled with slightly longer pin to pap and higher above the midline).  This ball for me read surprisingly early and had almost no continuation out of box.  After polishing it I have learned to like the ball and still use it once in a blue moon.  While I don't see myself changing over to ebonite anytime soon I would like to know some peoples impressions some of their newer equipment.  What ball gets through the heads easily and revs up alot in the midlane while having good continuation through the pins on medium/heavy lanes?

I have no problems with my Xcel part. I do put a light coat of extender  on it, keep it clean, but mine gets through the heads, has plenty of continuation.

For the heavier oil, I use the XXcel, also no problems, I don't polish it just clean it and go.

The XXXcel has jet to be drilled, not much to say for that one, but the lanes I use is getting a new machine and , so they say, will be using different patterns with heavier oil week to week, will have to see on that.
