The hype would be interesting, but I'm really just interested in the ball. I've seen a few videos, and it looks great. I know they are almost gone, but is it just this one run and done? What about those of us who want one a little later? Too late?

I would suspect that many were bought on the hype and gamble of finding a red or gold ball, the blacks will be on eBay and the classifieds very soon

Within 6 months, I figure to be able to buy the black ones for around $75 shipped

I'd bet he figures people will be dumping the black ones because they were gambling on getting a red or a gold one and are now bitterly disappointed. I'd bet that way also.
I'll also bet they'll first list them for $250 or $300 on EBay but the price will drop rapidly.

8,000 made and 7,120 are black. I don't think they'll be super cheap but I could see around $100

But I do remember in another post that he mentioned that there were 5 Reds pulled at his shop..

Out of 23 boxes 5 have been red. That is half of available Red from that pallet. Opening at least another on Monday night. That will leave 4 left unopened. From that 100, no one has said they opened a Gold box.

6500 are in the US and 1500 went overseas. I bought two hoping to get lucky on one. Only wanted a black one to drill and red or gold for resale.
Tried the black out today and was impressed. Going in the bag to use this week.
Checking one distributor with 4 warehouses they show to have less then 200 total for all 4 locations left.

The center i bowl in ordered 8. Owner drilled one (black). Another guy picked his up (14#) and when searching the other 4 15# i picked up one then realized that it was a 1-2" pin and not my favorite length. So put it down for a 3-4". The 14# ball was black, and the 3-4" that i picked up is red. I threw the owners black one and it reacts much like the original red mission.

me and my buddy both opened a black ball. I will say it was pretty exciting for about 30 seconds lol

I have seen the ball thrown on monday nite and it was very angular on our house shot 42feet.punching mine up later this week
