Magic core question
« on: February 23, 2009, 08:10:03 AM »
Is the core in the Magic symmetric or asymmetric?  Ebonite's description says the core is "Magic Symmetric Mass Bias", which sounds like it is symmetrical, but with the words "Mass Bias" thrown in there, I'm not sure.  Can someone say for sure?  Thanks.

From the look of it, it is a symmetric core with a pancake block. Both are seperate from eachother, and pancake acts as MB.

I think it's one of Ebonite's Symmetric Asymmetric's. Which just as confusing as it sounds. I think the shape is symmetric but the densities are different and create the MB.

this ball is intriguing me as the days go by. Since virtual has been nothing but headaches this might have to be given a try.

Lanehammer: Put it like this, it is so good, that it made me go back to ebonite/hammer.. I swore I would never throw another ebonite made product. Now my arsenal is half ebonite.

Thanks for the replies.  I had been thinking of getting a Virtual Gravity, but I'm now leaning towards the Magic, even though I'm still slightly leery of Ebonite's covers dieing early.

I still throw my angular one its like 2 1/2 years old.  As long as you take care of them, bleed the oil out every so often, and restore the factory finish grit, the ball will last a very long time.  Ebonite balls are high maintence balls, but imo its worth it

I'd be more worried about Storms covers dying then Ebonites.
