Killer instinct sanded
« on: December 05, 2004, 02:44:29 PM »
I just ordered a Killer Instinct Sanded and I've never owned a ball like this just plastic balls, Im wondering what kind of maintenance I will need to do and how often it needs to be cleaned and what to use.  I bowl in a league and will be bowling a fair amount as I learn to throw a hook ball.  Is this a good ball to learn with?  Thanks for any input

I will tell you truthfully, that it is not the best beginner ball you could have gotten. You could have gotten one much cheaper to learn with. It should be ok as long as there is enough oil though. The main rule of thumb is to clean after every 3 game set. I use a house hold cleaner called Simple Green. Spray it on a towel, and wipe the ball down real good with it. Cleans as good as any more expensive "bowling ball cleaner" out there in my opinion. Good luck!

What would be a better ball to learn with?  And also how should I get it drilled, just talk to the guy at the pro shop and see what he reccomends?  Thanks
