Title: Does anybody agree that PET Sparkles = Particle?
Post by: Ric Clint on May 23, 2003, 07:25:40 AM
The Predator RED Sparkle and the Blue/Violet Tornado Sparkle have coverstocks, of what Ebonite calls, "PET Sparkles; or PET Flakes".

I know that the Predator RED Sparkle is a light load of small Particle, so does that mean the the Blue/Violet Tornado Sparkle is a light load of Particle, or small MICA?

If one is Particle and the other is MICA, then why does Ebonite give those 2 different ball's coverstock's the SAME name, and why not just say the Tornado is MICA instead of calling it PET Sparkles?

It seems like both are actually Particle balls, but why would they make a Medium to Medium/Dry lane ball like the Tornado with Particle in it?

Thanks for the reply!

I thought that MICA was an "additive" that is put in some balls to make them more "grabby" so they can be more even and smooth out the shot. So why do you say that MICA makes a ball go longer? - (just seriously asking.)

Thanks!
