Looks like EBI is at it again! They're taking a page out of their Mission Unknown book, and applying it to the One series, which was just brought back in a limited release, along with a new ball in that series. I just got this dropped into my inbox as a youtube video drop.
#openthebox with the REAL ONE from Ebonite. You could find the all new Real One, a classic The ONE, Angular ONE, Big One or Infinite ONE. If you find a classic One ball, you will receive a free Real One.
Full video with the details is below.
I like what they're doing here, as again it's unique for marketing. Will I get one? probably not, as I'm still trying to find a hole in my gear to squeeze in a BW Gold. But props to Ebonite for making even the buying process a bit fun!

So if you get any of the other One series balls you get that and a free Real One? It wasnt completely clear, with how it's worded it sounds like if you open the original One you get the Real also.

Yes.

I got suckered in by the Mission Unknown ploy. I'm not falling for this one.

Umm not to be that guy but this isn't a box of Captain Crunch with a mystery prize inside or baseball card pack with a special hologram foil card. If I am spending cash on a ball I better damn well know what's in the box before hand. But I guess I am not the target market.
No matter what you're getting a Real One, but there's a chance you could get 2 balls for buying 1
-
Yeah on second reading saw that. Still 8/9 chance to be a loser. Still kind of neat I guess but it might suck if you buy one last minute for a tournament lol. Probably see those NIB on ebay soon though but probably pricey.

Where is the One Pearl? -- That was the ball I liked when I used Ebonite.
-
They haven't even found all the Gold Mission Unknown balls...

Wasn't that the Angular One?

No it wasnt. http://beta.ebonite.com/products/product_detail/the_one_pearl

I forgot how high the mass bias was for the core used in the One series. Really liked the original (remake?) and the Angular One. Might have a hard time not gambling on a box this time around.

the One Pearl was my favorite. Glad to see they are show that one love too.

But, that ISNT one of them. It is:
1. The ONE
2. The BIG ONE
3. The INFINITE ONE
4. The ANGULAR ONE
NO PEARL ONE.
-
Well, the Angular One is pearl but there is no One Pearl. Haha, the names thrown around here doesn't mesh with grammar.
-
People that get the Infinite One are going to be like "Can I have a refund?" Thought that ball was a turd.
The rest looked great.
-
To be honest probably none of these balls will roll like the originals

I thought so too, but I was wrong.

I worded that poorly. Meant to say there is One Pearl coming back out as a part of this promotion.
On a related note, does anybody remember what kind of coverstock the Infinite One had? No information for it on Ebonite's ball page. I realize that surface is more important than "type" of coverstock, just wondering what the intended shape of the ball is. Seems like it would be pearl or hybrid, but it's hard to tell from online pictures with it at 500 grit in the stock photos.
-
GB 12.1 was on the Infinite One! The Angular One had the GB 12.7 pearl with The One pearl having the GB 10.7 pearl.
-
I miss the Angular One, how this ball resembles it.
-
Infinite One surface was at 500. I believe a higher grit worked better.
We ordered 15 of the new Real One Releases. I like our chances.
Ordered 22 of the Missions. Got 6 of the ten Red.
Also excited to report I have a Gold on the way.
A Gold, a Red, and a Black will grace our Shop walls.
Yep, a Figam. Also have the Logo Infusion gold, red and black
Mission Unknown Jerseys to add to the collection.
Will post pictures on Facebook under Performance Plus Pro Shop. :)
