The ball was made in very limited production for a promotional for the Total NV. It was never sold or released to the general public. I believe that if pro shops bought X amount of TNV's, they got an NV for free.

Correct, each shop could by 16 Total NVs and with that they received 1 NV. And each shop could only get one of these. That way one shop couldn't get a whole bunch of them....
