Gamebreaker
« on: February 08, 2011, 05:12:03 PM »
I'm sure this post has been beaten to death before. I've heard rumors that the Gamebreaker is coming back out?  Wondering and hoping what I've heard is true

Barnes and Maclelland was throwing one too. Dino said they were throwing remakes.

I picked up a few just before they went out. Glad I did. My wife loves hers and I have a few "spares" for her if needed. I'll be looking for them if the line is true. Great selling/reacting  ball.

When I went home Friday Night and watched the US Open Match Play, I noticed Tommy Jones was using a Gamebreaker.  I cant imagine that he would be using one from the bag he drilled a couple years ago.  Lets face it.  The pros probably arent going to use "older" stuff when part of their contract is to get exposure of the latest and greatest.

Thanks. Did they say whether it will be exactly the same?

I am a shill for Ebonite International, but the Gamebreaker turned me off to the brand until Columbia made it's resurgence.

So I guess my question is, will the re-release have a new cover formula? Or the same one that only hooked for 2 weeks? I love the idea of the Gamebreaker, but in the end it was the biggest equipment disappointment ever. I really wish they would just re-release the V2 sanded for all of us die hards, and stop giving us sub-par copies.

Not a big fan of the GB coverstocks. While their performance is great, it's only for a limited time before it dies and won't/can't be brought back to life..

I have a Gamebreaker with over 200 games on it. I clean it very religiously AFTER EVERY bowling session and refurbish the cover as needed and the ball is as good and strong today as it was NIB, so I'm not sure why you have a problem with it. I note in a post just above mine here that Joe Jr. like myself hasn't had a problem with the GB covers either.
