Anybody try their "one" at 500 grit to see how it would handle heavier oil??

i dont know if u realise that that 500 grit used is an Abralon, not a sandpaper. 500 abralon is still a very high sandpaper grit.

Hey I1,

I just tried my One at 500 grit and it rolls VERY well, I was getting some over/under from my One at 4000+polish so on a whim I charcoaled it down to 500 and it rolls real nice, early breakpoint, still strong on the back, more of a STRONG arc than a flip now.  Haven't tried it on true soup, but it was at least 10 boards stronger than my Over Time at 2000 grit

sanding a One or Big One to 500 grit will NOT be the same as the Infinite One coming out of box at 500 grit.  Even at 500 grit Infinite One is clean through the front with non stopping continous backend.

Anyone want to tell me why we need something that will hook this much?  If the ball hooks even more than the big one, it's going to wind up getting strikes on the lane next to it unless the lane is a flood.  I was impressed by The One's backend snap, but it seemed really strong to me, and burned up any useful lines within a game or two.  So again, if the IO is that strong, it's going to be a REALLY heavy oil niche ball.

its summer. alot of sport leagues using heavier oil are starting and people will want to have more ball than adjust to the condition.

buy a spinner and clean the ball regularly and it will last forever. don't clean it and the pores will clog and kill the cover. same thing for most all balls. Exception is D/T's soaker. It lasts forever anyway.
