Infinite One gets a bath
« on: March 27, 2007, 09:11:51 AM »
I finally got around to giving my Infinite One a hot water bath yesterday. I bought the ball from our House Pro who had demoed it.  Being new, maintenance wasn't something I was aware that I should be doing.  So, I finally got to it. After 3 cycles of hot water and polmolive dish soap with grease remover the water was clear. After I wiped it down, I noted that there were a bunch of scrathes, and nicks. This had also happened to my wifes brand new Tropical Storm on the lane we were bowling yesterday.  The Pro Shop refinished her ball at no charge!! Since I was doing the work, I took mine in this morning and talked to our Pro Shop guy.  I told him that I wanted to get the ball resurfaced, since I had the same thing happen yesterday.  He checked out the ball and told me to leave it to be resurfaced at no charge!!!  I told him he didn't have too, but he said it was the least he could do.  We discussed my current quest to reduce ball speed we decided to take the ball to 1000 grit.  The results so far have been very good.  Its got tons more reaction than I have had since I purchased it. Now its just a matter of keeping up on the cleaning and continuing to work on my mechanics.
