V2 Strong: The Real Deal?
« on: March 11, 2004, 08:18:19 AM »
I was just wondering for those of you who have thrown the V2 STRONG if it is as strong as what they say and if so the best way to drill. (pattern: heavy block; 40 feet)

I'm not sure if my opinion is worth much to a high average bowler.  I have a 170 average. Slow-medium ball speed.  Anyway, I love the ball.  I had it drilled #5 on the Ebonite drill sheet.  Not having much speed, I wasn't getting good carry, so I polished it lightly and that did it. Only had two
10-pins for the series. I bought it to combat carrydown and it does that, but also works for fresh oil, no carrydown.

It's a very good ball. I bought some stronger particle balls from other manufacturers and stopped using mine after it got oil built up on it. I just sold it to a guy who gets more revs than I do and it was coming back like a champ for him on an oily tournament shot.
