i currently have 3 balls that i use. mission 2.0 to go across lane. mission x to go across lane but further down the lane. and a ebonite ice that i use to go down 2nd arrow and in. I am looking to upgrade my ebonite ice since it is an older ball. looking for some input on what is a compariable ball to the ice and of course i would prefer an ebonite ball.

It's hard to go wrong with a Cyclone!

The Cyclone is Ebonite's least expensive resin ball currently BUT it is way stronger than the Ice and requires more oil. If you like a ball with length and a fairly strong backend, fine; otherwise, drill it weaker than you would normally.

The truth is,Ebonite doesn't have any weak coverstocks in their current lineup,but the Cyclone would be least aggressive of their line.The Cyclone is also just a ridiculous value.

I heard that. looking for new equipment after 3 year layoff. can't go wrong with this?

At it's price point, the Cyclone is probably the best value on the market.The ball uses the gb10.7 coverstock that was used on The One(Ebonites' top of the line ball from 6-7 years ago)and the medium strength Torque core.The Cyclone is very versatile, and able to handle med.light-med.heavy conditions with surface adjustments.I have two in my bag, and can handle most of the patterns I see with just these two balls.(one pin down at 3000 grit, and one pin up at box finish.I hope this helps.
