I'm still thinking about a strong pearl for the league season. I'm looking at the following:The Innovate,The Nail,Cobalt Vibe, and the Violent Eruption.Does anyone have any thoughts, or experiences they would like to share to help me decide?

I have been really leary about Perl coverstocks.  They all seem to be too long and too flippy for my style.  Driller talked me into a Defiant edge (First Roto-Grip I ever owned) last week.  I threw a couple of games practice before I took it to the Hoinke.  I was plesantly surprised at how well the ball recovered, even when I was throwing it to the right.  Turned out to be much more predictable than I thought.

(@monroe) do you put any surface on the pearl cover? Surface can make all the difference when it comes to pearls.

(@Stc) the innovate is the strong ball you listed, so I'd go with that.

I put surface on my Pearls and was able to get better (smoother) reaction on sport shots.   Our house shot has too much oil for pearls, so I didn't even try them.   I didn't put any surface on my Defiant, and it still worked surprisingly well.  Not sure how it will fare in the future.  Will keep an open mind.
