SR300 owners... How is your ball drilled?
« on: May 18, 2007, 04:39:22 AM »
Getting my SR300 drilled later on today and was thinking of a simple 12:00 Leverage layout with the pin to the right of the ring finger cg stacked under and bomb to the right of the thumb hole. I am lucky as my pin cg and bomb all line up perfectly..

Just curious if anyone else has this drilling on thier SR300 and if so, how do you like it..

Thanks in advance..

JK

Pic is in my profile.

This and my Tropical Storm are the only balls that I've kept in the last half year. Everything else was tried and I didn't like 'em, so I got rid of 'em. Awesome ball that, like the Overtime, Smashtimes, and RXS300, is overlooked because everyone wants the TNV.

Right handed drill, Pin under middle finger with the CG slightyly out....no X-hole.  Very smooth yet strong.

Angelfire,

what kind of reaction do you get with that drilling?

Righty, ball drilled pin in the ring finger, MB stacked. CG is slightly shifted towards PAP.

If you set up the SR300, make sure to give it good length - IMHO a high pin position is vital. The core pushes very well down tha lane, but I found the coverstock to be very aggressive, so that any early roll would deplete much energy too early. If I were to drill up one again, I'd go with a pin above the ring finger or even the bridge, to delay the hooking action. To fight eraly energy depleteion, I polished my SR300 over 2.000 Abralon. helped a bit, but the ball is still pretty strong.
