Title: NIB Nitro/R worth anything?

Have a buddy that found an undrilled, still in box Nitro/R (green sanded) in his basement and was wondering if it was worth anything or if he should drill it.
Thoughts?

To a collector it likely will be.. now back in the day, it would of brought some cash.

200? Maybe yrs ago when they were popular; Now, maybe 75/80 at best imo.

If I owned this ball, and it was in the original box, it would be listed on eBay for no less than $250 shipped. You would be amazed at the number of idiot nostalgic bowlers out there who will pay a large price for old balls.

Recently, a NIB Fab Blue Hammer sold for $450 shipped. Nitro/R? That's the green one. That will definitely go for some money, especially seeing how they re-released the Nitro/R2 roughly 10 years ago.

Sometimes people get rid of a ball they later realize they shouldn't have and then when a second chance comes along to get one they might go for it, even for a premium price.

It cost you nothing to ask for that, even on eBay. List it for an outrageous number, then if no fish bite, lower the price a bit and cast your line again.  ;D


If you see a few people "watching" your listing, you probably have some who are interested, just not at the current price.
