Title: Pantera and original V2
Post by: ambi1 on December 07, 2014, 09:10:11 PM
Hi, for those who have used both.  Just how far apart in performance would you say they are.  Due to the light oil patterns and viscousity being put out in our house, I experimented and am getting good results with my pantera.  I have a nib V2, and am thinking of drilling it up as either up or down from the pantera.

Any help would be appreciated.

I had 3 of both of these and loved them. That being said, the Pantera was the "weaker" of the two. If the lanes are that dry, I would at least polish the V2 over the box finish or it might burn up. Using the same layout and surface to compare apples to apples, the V2 will start hooking about a foot sooner and will be about 5 boards more total hook than a Pantera.

I once had a Pantera drilled Revs Leverage!

I don't know if I have ever had a bigger stronger smoother hook motion!

It made me look good!

I do remember The V2 was too early for me in those days even drilled pin next too!  There tends to be less oil where I bowl these days but it IS more viscous you are right!

Ok, thanks guys.  Specially regarding the earlier roll up of the V2.  Was gonna ask that, but you guys beat me to it.  Will set the V2 above the pantera.  Smooth hook for fresh oil..

I wish I could find a NIB 15# Pantera.  That ball rocked.
