drilling nvs

How do I determine if I need and where to put balance hole..  what dia, how deep? Watched ebonite video witn no mention of balance hole  no. 1 layout has that info but dont know dia and depth.. any help would be great..

your pro shop guy should know all that. there is a standard sheet for weight hole size and depth..

Well, pro shop guy will be no help.. he's upset I didnt buy the ball from him. he will be glad to help for $65.00 drill charge

So let me get this straight, your going to drill this ball up yourself?

65$ is a reasonable price bringing it in from elsewhere. I just drilled my NVS that I ordered off bowling.com - and my driller charged me 65$ included slugs and grips.

$65.00 not including grips and slugs,or $65.00 for any info. this is after over $1000 worth of balls and equipment I have purchased from him in the 6 years.. I dont expect him to do it for free, and yeah from now on I'm drilling all my stuff.

geez, are you guys serious? i pay $30 for a full drilling with grips and a slug, no matter where i buy the ball.

Unless you have ALL the equipment to layout, drill and weigh a ball why would you save a few bucks and drill it yourself. Makes no sense to me..

I also $65 is way to much to drill a ball especially if the guy doesn't want to weigh it for you and drill a weight hole if needed.. Making sure the ball is legal should be included in the price of any drilling..

If you drilled it by the #1 drilling go over 4 inches from center of grip then up 1 inch, depending on the top weight it will be a 15/16 bit 1 inch to 2.5 inches.
