Powerhouse Blueprint
« on: July 07, 2011, 02:45:29 AM »
Hi everyone.  Hey I was wondering if anyone has used the new Blueprint software that Ebonite has developed.  Also I was wondering if this was going to be released to the general public for us that drill their own equipment and are not linked to the distributor world.

   Thanx.

Downloaded the demo and it was neat. It will likely be available to anyone who is willing to pay the price for it. Just email EBI and ask when you can purchase it and where.

Be good, or be good at it.

I guarantee that it wont be cheap.  Ebo has obviously put a lot of time and money into developing this.  It's a pro-shop tool and will most likely be priced that way.  I expect a price tag around a grand, but that's a complete guess.

Edit: posted right after the price was mentioned.  At $500 it's cheaper than I expected, but knew it wouldn't be cheap.

Too bad it is limited to EBI only equipment.

it is $500 and available thru distributors. Currently there are no plans to sell it to the public from what they told us. We did purchase it if anyone would like to swing by and look at it.

It is an amazing piece of work that will change the way customers make ball selections...We use it in our shop and have been able to put some new customers who were on the fence about bowling balls, over the top with confidence..Explaining ball motion is difficult with the non-serious bowling public, but showing them ball motion brings a new type of wow factor into the experience..The fact that I can show my tournament bowlers what different layouts and surfaces will do on Kegel and PBA patterns is another great feature..it's a good training tool as well as pro shop tool

Justin, were you just at Bowl Expo?  If so I think I saw you being interviewed by Mike J for the Powerhouse booth.  Yeah, I work part-time in the shop at our center and have been drilling for about 6 years but have been bowling all my life.  Even though we do not do a ton of work, my friends and I are getting very knowledgable about ball motion, ball numbers, layouts, etc...but it is still a shot in the dark when you drill a ball how it will work.  I am really excited about this software and will more then likely buy it.  Can't wait to be able to work with more balls then what is in the demo.  Why someone didn't develop this sooner is a mystery.

Thanx for your input man.

In addition to the $500 a copy there will be a $100 charge each year for yearly updates.

I just heard about this a couple days ago and got a demonstation from StrikingResults-Atl.

I was very impressed w/ the program.  It should certainly remove any uncertainty about which ball to buy.

I'm kind of excited about the new Ransom Demand and can't wait to see what it looks like on the "Blueprint" and if it'll be a good ball purchase before fall league.

I do think it'll be an eye opener to myself, and many others, that a few good coaching sessions wouldn't hurt either.

If you can't get to a trade show this summer to view it in action, visit powerhousebowling.com/blueprint for a free downloadable demo. There are some videos on there which will give you some more insight into how the program works as well.

Thanks for the great feedback!
