Red Wolf Pearl and Werewolf
« on: September 01, 2006, 04:22:47 PM »
Just looking for any info on these two balls, and what type of lane conditions they would be good for these days.

Thanks in advance,
Tyler

Well with your rev rate and depending on the type of drilling you were to go with....I would think the RWP would handle a medium-medium light and the Grey Wolf would handle a medium-medium heavy shot.

With my game the Pearl would handle only light oil and the Grey Wolf maybe a medium-medium light shot.

Thanks for the info so far...let's keep it comin'.  Also, just to clarify, the Werewolf is the bright orange one.  I haven't thrown these in a long time...

oops Sorry for some reason I had Grey Wolf stuck in my head.

Just an FYI...my buddy had a Red Wolf solid...mind you he wasn't very good, but the ball was horrible in his hands.  It didn't really do much of anything, and when he did hit the pocket....no carry...but I used it once or 2wice and had some success even though it's drilled for a righty and I'm a lefty.

The shot we were using it on was a medium oiled THS....

Not so odd. I just purchased a NIB Grey Wolf from EBay. In fact, just got it yesterday. It's only a 1 1/2" pin, but I used one briefly in 1997, very briefly, just before I had to switch down to 15 lbs. So briefly I don't even remember the conditions on which I used it. I kind of wonder about mediums, but I think medium light oil patterns should be fine. We'll see.

The Werewolf was more of a med-heavy oil ball. I could use it on less oil because of my speed. I would say about medium oil today. Loved mine but it ed in the car when it was hot outside.

I have both the Red Wolf Pearl which I got NIB a few months ago, and I also have the Werewolf that I got NIB about 1 1/2 years ago.  Here's a link to the layouts on them.

The Red Wolf Pearl has good length and is very angular.  I put a control type drill on the werewolf, and polished it with Track's Clean and Polish.  The ball is great on drier conditions and very smooth.  Hope this helps you out

I had a real good reaction with my Red Pearl Wolf 2 years ago, even shot 300 with it.  Have since switched to 15#'s so it sits in the closet with the other 16#'ers.  Reaction had good length with a strong finish.
