Still 333 made?
« on: November 15, 2007, 07:22:17 AM »
When the NV from Ebonite was "introed" or given away with the purchase of a case of Total NV's for pro shops the number told (I believe was 333).  Well I'd like to think there are way more than 333 pro shops nationwide.  Seeming as how many staffers had them as well (I can count six that I know with the NV and two that have duplicates of them), the huge slew of them that went direct to ebay, a few that are still popping up, the word around the rumor mill a few weeks back was that Mr. Spears in FL (bowlingball.com) fell into a bunch of the NV "x-outs".  How is that?  You would think that with such a limited run of NV's that there wouldn't be any X-Outs and even if there were X-Outs how and why would they be popping up a year later?

Could it be that there was a larger number produced than we were led to believe?  Especially since so many staffers and exempt players have them.  Kind of makes you wonder about those who spent $400+ for their super limited edition ball.

DJ,

I was thinking the same think when I received the bowlingball.com newsletter today and saw NV x-outs listed.  Makes you wonder how many x-outs are out there.

Supposedly with ebonite there number of X-out balls is less than 1%? ive only heard that so if that is the case then there should be less than 4 Xouts?

Not sure what is going on, sounds like a way to bumb up demand for something.

Wasn't there less than 333? I thought it was a number like 270 something, or 280 something. Still that is very weird.

I think there was a conspiracy theory of how they would release more of these or release the exact same ball with a different name.  This was all when they were selling for a big amount.  The time has come

People people it was 288 not 333 and it was with the direct purchase of 16 total nv's at the same time (not a case) or purchased with a pba card for $200.  How does it benefit them to lie about producing qunatitys of a ball so they can seel a extra few of that one ball and make a few more dollars.  They sell thousands of balls I think they are doing ok.

As for the 1% that seems awfully low,  I don't have information to back up or dispute it but seems awfully low.
