Title: The Vital Sign must be a fairly decent ball ....
Post by: charlest on November 23, 2010, 08:34:46 PM
A friend just shot 299, 279, 289 = 867 with it.
Pin down, 3000 grit matte surface.
Congrats, Krumpy300!!!

Almost more interesting was his 4 man team shot 258, 235, 236, 279 = 1008 in their 2nd game and lost that game. (Of course, it's a handicap league. )

Ok......let me be the first because I know someone is going to ask it.....

How were all of the balls drilled because with scores like that...and a ball like that, I have to get that drill to ensure me scores like that too!!!!

On edit, nice set too by Krumpy and team!!

Krumpy is 6'5". No one gives him crap to his face. Besides he's one of the nicest guys you'd ever want to meet.

Thanks Jeff for embarrassing me once again  Just kidding.

Definitely not a typical night. The house changed to a different oil recently and the shot has held up better overall. Was on one of the better pairs as well so that helped.

The Vital Sign is a VERY underrated ball. Kind of got missed because the Mission was still selling like mad. Mine is drilled with a modified double thumb layout. Liked it at 2000 OOB, put some polish on it to some success as well, but really shined at 3000 matte.

Ball seems to be more of a thumper then the Mission, keeps the pins lower and has a knack for slapping out 10 pins, even ones that should have been half tens.

Thanks guys for the kind words.

The Vital Sign is one of the biggest under rated balls to come out. The ball is a beast. Rolls strong with a lot of hook in the back it. To me the ball is quiet versatile, having one drilled aggressive for medium to heavy oil and one a little weaker it makes for a great duo on the lanes. I shot a 300 with my weaker of the two this weekend actually. I love this ball. Best solution to nasty heads!  Get one today and Bowl To WIN!

I am looking at the Mission and 2.0. A member here on BR suggested that as much as I love the Gamebreaker, that I also look at the Vital Sign.

Congratulations, that's an incredible set!

I agree the Vital Sign is underrated. I've maybe seen two other ones in my area. I threw one at a demo days my pro shop was putting on and tried it against other balls from Storm, Brunswick and Track. The reaction was great and matched up perfect for me. This is the first Ebonite ball I've bought in 15 years. IMO it's a great ball and so far seems to be pretty versatile.

Congrats on monster shooting!!!

I have seen a few Vital's here and a really nice looking ball.  Have talked a few people into it as we had a few in our pro shop and they have fallen in love with it. Definitely does kick out 10's and 7's that most would leave..

Nice shooting again!

So Mike, if you had your choice, which would you choose and why....the Vital Sign or the Mission 2.0?
