Man are you guys gonna luv the Total NV
« on: January 16, 2007, 05:15:17 PM »
Drilled mine with pin 5" from my PAP and the MB at 70 degrees, which for me is all pin over the middle finger, and I drilled out most of the MB with the thumb hole.  Trying a couple 16lb balls again too.  This ball rolls swwweettt!!!

Bowled 3-4 games on a sport shot, great recovery playing deep, and could fudge nuckle it up the lane too.  Hits really good.  Wanna throw this ball more!!

More soon!
Pretty ball too!

Mike post a video of you i hear how well you throw the ball, it would be nice for you to compare this say the new fury or an action max.

Nut-

I will see what I can do about that.  I am not super internet/computer literate and don't know how to upload and such.  My intro on my site will have me bowling, but I don't know what it is gonna look like.  I have my web site guru, Rodrigo, building my mikeaustinbowling.com.  I know I throw the ball great, just ask me!  LOL!!  I need to drop about 25lbs and I think I would be ready to rumble!

I have an Action Max.  Not really similar as the Max comes a little dullish.  If you shine the Max, I still don't think it would have as sharp a break point as the Total NV.  I would think the Action Max would be closer to the NV.  I got an NV at the seminar, but didn't drill it, as it is 15lbs and I am trying 16lbs again at the moment.  NV is supposed to be early and smooth.

Haven't seen a Fury, just know it is the next B ball.

Just what I need, another reason to buy a video camera!!

not sure on the spike weight block (tottal envy) But it will help make most asymetrical balls roll more symetrical= more rollie. Not sure on this new weight block concept wich can be symetrical and asymetricla depending on what side of the block you drill.

Drilling out the MB was not intentional.  I have just been trying to be more precise with my layouts, and actually layed the ball out before drilling, ala Brunsnick's video.  Usually I just start punching holes, cuz I know what I like and such.  I wanted 70 degrees, and that is where the MB fell, and also get the pin over the fingers.

Since the MB is almost always 6 3/4 from the pin with Ebo balls, you could/I could have just waited and drilled a different ball with pin farther out, so the MB would have fallen over my thumb.  So, I didn't really do it on purpose.  The pin was about 2" from the CG, so I had to drill the fingers a little deep, a farther pin out might have let me tweak the layout with pin a little higher and still be 5" from my PAP.

The ball is kind of rolly for a pearl ball, but hits great.  As I said, I am experimenting with 16lb balls, and this is one of them.  Shot 240, 230, 230 with this ball in my league for like 714, missed one spare, had a couple splits.  For the second week of the experiment, 6 games now, I have not left any pocket single pins except 10 pins.  No 7s, 8s, 9s or 4s.  Great carry!  First week was with a 16 Infinite One.

Jeff, what are some of the pro's and con's to drilling this ball Asym or Sym. I'm hoping to get one next week. Looking for some ideas on what layout to use.
