Title: Tried out my new Angular One last night....
Post by: cnimsk on January 12, 2007, 08:14:06 AM
I did okay...not great, but not a disaster either. I ended up with a 192 average for the night...two pins less then my league average thus far. The problem I had was missing spares. I missed four in the first game, two in the second and two in the third...that's eight missed spares and none were those that shouldn't be made most of the time. I had a 576 for the night, and left an easy six out there. Another thing I'm trying to do is increase my ball speed so that's taking a little getting used to as well. The first game I tried my Angular one, struck the first frame then had two opens with the ball not finishing to the pocket. I'm usually a deadeye on spares on the left side of the lane (I'm right handed), but not last night. I pulled out my Infinite One....I had only used that in practice a couple of times and one game in league, and tried that with better results but still missed yet another spare on the left and also missed a ten pin. Ended up with a 171. Started the second game with the Infinite One and was doing okay, left a couple more ten pins that I missed (I'd been doing so well with ten pins lately...had lots of practice picking them up unfortunately as my No Mercy was leaving them fifty percent of the time on pocket shots), switched to the Angular One midway through the game as the Infinite One started to move too much...lanes drying out a bit. Ended up with a 211. Third game, I had a 194, mainly because the pins just were not kind in falling down the way they should have...left a couple of eight pins, a seven, a nine. Overall I was pleased with both the Infinite One and Angular one. They both seem to match my game well. Just had a bad night with spares. The Angular One was giving me a strong, quick move to the pocket, which is what I was looking for. Count me as a satisfied customer.
