Wanting to try something new..can you help?
« on: January 23, 2008, 10:22:34 AM »
Greetings!

Been a long time Track fan for many years.  Looking for a new ball.  Cracked my Track Rule last night in league.  My specs are in my profile.  Looking for a med - med/heavy oil ball.  Just doing my research to see what is out there.  Possibly looking at Lane #1 (anything you guys might be able to suggest), The Rising by Track, or the NV Line by Ebonite.  Current average is 187.  My advanced thanks for your suggestions.  I currently throw the Track Mutant as my primary oil ball but am willing to switch if the right ball comes up.  When the lanes become toast I throw Track Desert Heat.

PS  I took last year off due to having a right total hip replacement.  I'm 38 and I feel stronger now and can bowl more consistently now that my hip pain is gone.

Again thanks for your help.

Brian, Sorry to hear about the cracking of you Rule.  Since you have long been a fan of Track equipment, I believe you will certainly like the upcomimg release by Track.

The Kinetic Energy will be released Feb. 11th I believe and Will be 2-5 boards stronger than the original Kinetic.  The Kinetic Energy is different from the original because it only has a new stronger coverstock.  You will get the same great ball motion as the original if you have seen it, now with more exaggeration!  Check out Trackbowling.com.  I think you will be pleased with the results!!

And if you are looking to switch to great Ebonite equipment.  The Complete NV is sure to be an amazing ball; released in just a few days!  The Complete responds better to friction and where you will see great ball motion, in the backend!
Don't forget to change surfaces if you need to match up better on certain conditions!

My vote goes for the Rising or gamebreaker I have both, Rising very strong in backend with alot of turn, gamebreaker strong move, but smooth not as angular

Just my .02

Tough to beat the GameBreaker for the price and versatility.

Thanks everybody for your input!  .  The NVS series sounds good along with the Track Kinetic Energy/The Rising.  Thanks everyone.  I will keep you guys updated to what I decide.

Have a Great Day!
